As English empiricism influences behavioral analysis
Empiricism is a psychological and epistemological current based on the fact that any type of knowledge comes from experience and is obtained through the senses.
The most important representatives of English empiricism have Jhon Locke, Tomas Hobbes, George Berkeley, David Hume.
John Locke
His thought was based on the conception of the Rasa tabula (Aristotelian thought) arguing that this blank sheet should be filled with experience and rejects the concept that there are innate ideas. He defended the idea that knowledge was given through experience.
Locke distinguishes as a source from ideas to the sensations and reflection that proceed in the last instance of the experience. It also introduced the concepts that human beings thought of ideas and divided them into simple ideas and complex ideas, the simple impressions that we produce through the senses and complex are given through the combination of simple ideas and can bereflective or sensory.
Thomas Hobbes
Hobbes talked about the movement and also complemented saying that "everything that exists is matter and everything happens is movement". George Berkeley

David Hume
David Hume highlighted from Locke that simple ideas combine to form complex ideas. His main main contribution to psychology was the distinction between impressions and ideas. For Hume, sensations are stronger and more lively impressions than ideas, and they are relatively weaker and faint.
Hume said that "the impressions were the" cause "of ideas and that they could be simple or complex" also made a clarification between "the sensations that he called them impressions and the ideas that Hume called them images". Thanks to this, he established that "the impressions were the house of their corresponding ideas or images"
In addition to what Locke said, from simple ideas, complex ideas are formed in relation to a mechanism that he affirms as "Law of Connection between Ideas". Hume proposed 3 association laws: similarity, contigency (time and place) and cause effect. In the latter, it establishes the importance of the cause-effect relationship on the adquisisción of the experience
In conclusion, the 4 most important authors of empiricism coincide in the idea that knowledge occurs through experience, where the senses are the way of knowing whether or not something exists and rejects innate ideas. But everyone has its different approaches.
