Art in today’s society

As a starting point, art is a concept that is defined in multiple ways;It is definitely a classic paradigm that contains complexity. Fundamentally, art is a culture, which has been used as a tool, therefore, one knows the history and manifestations of our ascendants. This whole term, entails a long and unique chronicle, which comes from the same source: feelings. In this way I introduce, an essential word when writing art: the Greek. The main purpose of Greek art is to symbolize the human in its splendid nature, including its: gestures, displacements and passions. Therefore, a type of sculpture will be displayed in two different periods: archaic and Hellenistic.

First of all, the Greek archaic sculpture stands out for its compound figures in marble and its geometric faces. To begin, the selected image is entitled: "Kouos de Anavyssos", where the word "Kouri" means athlete. First, there is a naked and frontal young man;His braided hair does not intervene with his face, which, in the same way, contemplates some emotions that are the following: his ovulated eyes, his profiled nose and his lips that make up a reserved gesture of smiling. Secondly, from his neck (including arms) to his abdomen exemplify a hardening and inflexibility. However, the pressure he has on his legs is evidenced, since one is at the forefront of the other; It should be noted that, in each part of your body, certain illuminations are demonstrated.

In another order of ideas, in the Hellenistic era it is predominated by the variety of positions and notable statements (expressions). Also, some of its sculptors are: praxiteles, eutíquids, police, damofón, etc. In the chosen sculpture, a dreary man sitting with a kind of vessel in his hands is exhibited, his face is inclined, his factions (from his gaze to his semi -open mouth) embody: sadness, melancholy and grief. On the other hand, their veins are visible, their torso is covered by the clothing used at the time, the location of his hands expresses an appreciation for the sustained article, his knees form a kind of arc by his folded legs and inHis feet is put by "sandals". Indeed, the sculptor of this work illustrated and illuminated precisely the conditions of the moment.

Fortunately, sculptures not only expose their abilities through art, but also reveal their peculiarities. With respect to their similarities, both direct the subsequent: they are individuals, they use the use of the same material (marble and bronze) and present their sensibilities. In relation to its differences, in Greek archaic art its sculpture is: static, it serves the Frontality Law, its facial expression is tense and standing. On the other hand, the sculpture of Greek Hellenistic art prefigura: different movements, denote different types of "beauty", have fabrics to add more strength and life. Without a doubt, it is a chain of an exceptional duality, seen and witnessed by crowds.

The idea of art research seemed very striking and interesting, because I had never had the opportunity to do such a deep search. I must admit that at first one one is bombarded with books and articles, to a point that seems desperate to assume all the information. On the other hand, the given time was more than enough, to produce work and investigate an ancient culture. Today, most of the youth only cares about two pillars: money and ambition;Consequently, we transform into machines with an accused system. Personally, I maintain that it is important to acquire the knowledge of the past, so that in the future we never forget the power that one gets just observing and reading.
