All about globalization and more

Introduction

What is globalization and how does organizations affect?

Globalization is a set of transformations that have enabled the generalization of world trade, and the increase in international investments in a few words can be said that it is a great economic network.

With the objective that we all benefit.

The globalization process is based on the idea that world trade and productive specialization allow more efficient to take advantage of the capacities of each country to produce their goods that can best obtain and manufacture.

It began to talk about globalization after the technological revolution of information happened.

Globalization is a historical process, the growing of the integration of the economy around the world refers. dare of trade and financial flows. In some cases this term refers to the displacement of people, and the transfer of knowledge. Globalization is a process, a street for future economic development in the world at the same time inevitable and irreversible, others see it with hostility, even fear because they consider a May inequality

Developing

Globalization does not have a specific beginning, there are historical moments that were decisive, so that the commercial world is as today is perceived, for example the transformation towards a global scheme from World War II and the implications it had in its acceleration, the transformation of the Soviet block, finally analyzes the change of the paradigm built on the bases of the competitive advantages, following these same events.

It is important for the purposes of this document to make an approach to the term globalization to give clarity of the magnitude and importance of this phenomenon.

Markets grow and homogenize, borders disappear, information systems improve and expand, you can no longer think that no company, however small or specific or reduced that its sector is, that it is outside the international interactionof the markets, without a doubt you will have to face the consequences of globalization, starting with the liberation of trade and free and expanded competition.

It is undeniable that at the economic and social moment through which it is going through now, any entrepreneur will be faced with internal competitors in front of which he will find all kinds of challenges, such as technology, efficiency, capacity, innovation and costs, amongothers, and will have to be prepared to face, excel and expand, because as in a typical red ocean, the existence of more and more competitors forces to increase the market to which it is attacked, since otherwise it is only destined to remainlagging and eventually disappearing.

Globalization has given another perspective about relationships, not only business, but also from a social point of view, it can be seen that this “is a more interdependent world, where what they do or stop doing others affects us,That has no reverse.

This process is not going to stop, it is a world of permanent change in magnitude and speed, but this transformation does not respond to all equally, for some it will be faster and for another slower, but it is a process that will not stop, ”he explainedJuan David Escobar.

Globalization is a dynamic process of growing freedom and global integration of labor, goods, technology and capital markets.

This process is not new, it has been gradually developing and it will take many years to complete.

Globalization suggests that in the world the remote and insignificant factors directly affect the development of this planet

Some years ago we thought the planet ended where our eyes stopped seeing. If we go back to history, it would tell us that long centuries of human permanence have passed on this planet, and that throughout this permanence we have sought to know more, know more, thus discovering the new world, the most inhospitable places ofOur planet and even reaching the moon, now we know that the world is round, which is oriented in two axes and that turns tirelessly with the promise to continue doing it, but with the uncertainty of the moment in which it will stop its walk.

A few centuries ago exchange information between two people located a few metersgreeting.

Globalization suggests that for this concept to develop fortunately, we must generate a global thought, forget the limits imposed by the borders and the political division of this planet and generate a thought free of ties that allows us to make exchanges with China,Mexico, USA. UU. or Spain, with the sole purpose of achieving a sustainable competitive advantage that allows the development of our society.

It seems that after all the discoveries and advances that humanity has generated we are ready for this great jump, return to oneself, and without being pessimistic I will stop this literary exercise to ask myself, are we actually ready?..

Since the concept of globalization appeared in the 90s, opinions have been polarized. Some think that globalization could be the antidote that this planet is waiting for, since we have recognized that neither capitalism, nor socialism, nor any other economic regime has achieved a fair equity, which allows us all to have the same development opportunitiesand growth.

However, there are those who think that it is not the correct antidote, which will happen as always: rich countries will be richer because they will continue to have better development conditions and the poor will be the same or poorer in the shadow and conditions of powerful countries.

However and despite the different positions we can face, it is a reality that globalization has begun to operate and has done it fully.

To show that, it is enough that we take a look at imports and exports of different products, which travel from Asia, Europe or America strengthening commercial relations. Although this is not new, it has existed throughout history.

The Egyptians exchanged products, the Incas also did it and even the Vikings themselves did, although they did it for obtaining scarce or null natural resources in their place of origin.

Nowadays the exchange of products seems to be a sport: half of the transport, both aerial and sea, are intended for product exchange.

The economy has also been affected by globalization, currencies have ceased to be an intrinsic value that allows a community to exchange products, and represent the purchasing power of a whole community, thus becoming the ability to pay an entityfinancial.

But what role should companies play in this story. Nowadays companies must think big, because it is practically unheard of continuing to think about being the best in a block or a town.

They must think about being the best in the world, since globalization has reoriented the efforts of companies to quality, that that Karol Ishikawa presented us in the 80s and that led Toyota to be the number one automotive in the world;that which allowed Japan to have an outstanding economy and that won the admiration of the entire world.

conclusion

The quality until a few years ago was nothing more than a step of the audit that allowed us to continue with a flow diagram, where decisions were nothing more than a pretext of the minimum levels to continue with the operation;Today the market demands more, it is more critical, more knowledgeable and is not willing to pay for a poor quality product.

The strategies to enter globalization can be many, however, all areas of a company must reinvent themselves to enter that process, because globalization puts all the companies in the world on the exit line and marks a 400 race of 400free meters, however, to compete it is not necessary to be of a specific block, but to have the ability to reinvent, adapt and decide.

There is no company today that does not work for its customers, although sometimes companies forget and guide their work exclusively to finances, political relations or the fastest way to generate liquidity, which allows them to be profitable andhave a comfortable financial position.
