Actors who have contributed to Chile’s energy efficiency
Energy efficiency has represented one of the fundamental pillars in companies, both for a cost of reduction of energy consumption and the reduction of pollution produced. Currently, the most important role in the Chilean market is in simple words the use of resources and technologies in a more effective and efficient way. This is why today, Chile has shown great interest in the creation of policies and institutions that promote people and companies to carry out energy efficiency implementation, which has resulted in the creation of various companiesdedicated to energy efficiency, which will be characterized to later describe the offer of services.
Relevant actors and institutions referring to the industry
- Energy Efficiency Agency (ACHEE): It is a private non -profit organization whose objective reduces classical energy and promoting and implementing through projects and programs efficient energy, focusing mainly on sectors such as industry, mining, transportation, transport,Building and public, residential and commercial sector, also gives companies in the sector an international certification in Energy Management Certified Energy Manager (CEM), which allows professionals to analyze and develop strategies in energy and solutions for reductionof energy consumption

- National Association of Energy Efficiency Companies (Anesco): It is an inclusive association that represents actors in the sector in a transverse way. Its members have different and complementary specialties with each other, representing a wide range for both the industrial and private sector (Anesco Chile to.G., s.F.)
- Production Development Corporation (Corfo): It is an agency responsible for granting support and enterprises. In relation to services oriented to the EE in different organizations, the Corporation operates the pre-investment program Energy Efficiency, Piee, which co-confinance of energy audits in Chilean private productive companies (AETS South America S.A., Econoler, 2010)
National Institute for Standardization, INN
The Private Law Foundation created by Corfo, National Institute of Standardization, is a non -profit technical body, which contributes to the productive development of Chile promoting the elaboration and use of Chilean standards, coordinating the National Metrology Network, carrying out evaluation of thecompliance and training people (technicians or professionals as the case may be) in matters of quality management systems and specific standards. - AMC Energy: It is an engineering company that is based on the design and installation of photovoltaic projects, energy advice, which among its competitive advantages stands out for being a leading engineering company in the innovation and development of energy efficiency projects and the wayto adapt to the needs of their customers and facilitating the financing of these, in addition the vast majority of their projects were carried out in the agriculture (AMC Energy, S.F.)
- JHG: specializes in developing innovative solutions to industries such as the mining and industrial sectors with high quality standards in their maintenance, audits and remote monitoring of operational operating parameters and use of efficient energy. Among its competitive factors this company has more than 90 customers throughout Chile.

These present a potential over the other companies, since as explained above, they have a diversity of services to offer with high quality, for the different types of customers they face. In addition to extensive experience and professionalism, promoted by the need to combat the shortcomings or needs presented by Chilean homes and companies with the increase in electricity consumption of recent years.
Among the business modality most used by energy efficiency companies in Chile is the hid that according to (Energy Tracking, 2011), in its report this model is a contract where the company offering the service assumes all theservice expenses, which is paid with savings in the length. Which can be considered as a potential factor for the exportable supply, since this business model brings advantages for both customers (company) such as minimum financial risks and be able to renounce in case the results are not satisfactory. And for the company, it hides advantages such as generating long ties with the client, ensures the return on investment.
