A movie of challenges in life
Introduction
In the movie ‘Under The Same Moon’ directed by Patricia Riggen, a young Mexican, Carlitos, crosses several struggles and challenges to cross the Mexico American border and meet with his mother in Los Angeles. In this exciting, heartbreaking and kinematic image, the devastating aspects of the border patrol, American immigration and the life of an illegal immigrant are exposed to the average American citizen. At the beginning of the film, Carlitos’ mother, Rosario, illegally crossed the border with the United States and is currently working on two jobs to be able to send money to her sister and her grandmother, who takes care of him in Mexico.
