Being a person who has spent over thirteen years being associated with the field of IT; learning it, teaching it and supervising it; I believe IT is my calling. Since it is a field of my interest and passion, looking into the future, I see my bond with IT continue and strengthen further. But having taught for over twelve years as a professional IT teacher, I feel that now I am ready to return to the academia to formally upgrade my knowledge set and education skills. I have a Bachelors in Management Information Systems, a diploma in teaching and a Masters in Cyber Security. Now I plan to undertake my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the University of Ontario. During the course of thirteen years, I have taken up many managerial projects in UAE, internal and external to the school environment. In a school environment, I have supervised internships, made contributions towards raising the quality of education in private schools, conducted internal examinations, etc. Beyond school environment, I have been involved in different social research projects related to IT. One important project was regarding the assessment of knowledge level in lawyers and judges related to digital forensics. I suggested a training program to help raise this knowledge level guaranteeing an upgraded, reliable legal system with reference to cyber security cases. In another project, I researched the effects of social networking websites on the teenagers’ privacy. Based on my IT knowledge, experience and research, computer security and confidentiality are inevitable global issues of the present times.
