Friendship as a value that links society
Introduction.
Knowing this we can see how friendship arising from pleasure has some similarity with reciprocal friendship. An example of this is that the love that is reciprocallyis more focused on pleasure and interest rather than love itself.
On the other hand, only good beings can be friends with each other and in certain cases also of the bad ones, but the bad cannot be friends with each other because they will not endure to harm each other. Perhaps, what can maintain friendship in bad men can be the benefit and interest. In summary, bad men will only be friends for interest and benefit while good men will be for friendship and love itself.
Developing.
It is not possible that the perfect or reciprocal friendship is in many people, as is almost impossible to love many and all correspond them to time. Since men who are friends for pleasure and seem to have many more friends, since men are a person who can be attractive to many and corresponded only while there is pleasure for him. The men who are frivolous only have friendship with men who are useful to them or who are peaceful with them, but they will never be friends with someone who gathers both characteristics at the same time. These types of friendships along with the friendship of good and virtuous men are friendships based on equality. This is because friendships give one thing for another, understand as if it were an exchange exchange for profit, or vice versa.
We do find friendship and justice between communities where they share responsibilities, and much more in communities where their members are similar or dedicate themselves to similar trades either soldiers, firefighters, teachers or other professions, since among them there is friendship and try to bejust among them. And injustice will make any community destroyed, since thanks to the fact that there is friendship and justice, it can be built that. Aristotle argues that there are three branches in which the government is divided, which I will dare to make them known, these three forms of government are: the monarchy, the aristocracy and the Republic or also called the timocracy
Where Aristotle tries to make it clear that the monarchy can be the best way to govern, while on the contrary the worst is the Republic, knowing that the monarchy is where the king seeks the good of his governed, the aristocracy is formed by peopleeducated and virtuous and finally there is the Republic or Timocracy that is the one formed by people who have a certain number of properties. In tyranny there is no friendship at all because the absolutist mandate or the master/slave relationship does not represent a relationship of friendship. Where friendship can be the most in democracy, because in this form of government they are all the same.
Reciprocal friendship will never be exposed to complaints because nobody can get angry who really wants. On the contrary, friendships based on benefit and utility have many complaints in between, never satisfied with the usefulness or pleasure that is maintained, you always want more. Another friendships that exists is legal friendship. This includes the exchange in commercial relations (purchase /sale). This is one of the friendships that prosper as long as faithfulness is maintained in the transaction, that is, that it is fulfilled or agreed in the sale.
But a difficulty arises in this type of friendship because it is not known whether to give estimation to favor only for the benefit, or give estimation because the favor is a kind will of who delivers it. Those who argue in favor of the benefit say that this favor is something that anyone could do, while others deeply appreciate the will of the favor. Obviously, if the relationship between the two men is of a reciprocal friendship will be appreciated and the will of who does the favor, on the contrary, if the friendship is based on the utility will be considered then only the favor will be seen and not to theperson.
Conclusions.
Friendship can end because of the excess that occurs in ascension to superiority, that is, when the friend believes himself superior to his other friend. When does this happen? When said friend considers the other as not very useful and that he no longer deserves more attention, while the other friend will tell him that he has to fulfill his duty, because the superior must help the lower. Notwithstanding what has been said above, the friendship between unequal can occur without problems, as long as the debtor can return the favor with what he can, because friendship itself does not consist in just receiving, but also in giving
