Essay on the Society of the Goths
Initially, the Goths were settled in tribes or small precarious villages, of which some of them were merely seasonal. There they lived with their families, mostly dedicated to agriculture and livestock as a subsistence method.

Due to this rapid integration, the Goths were able to learn with great simplicity many of the technological innovations of the agricultural and military of the Romans. But all these advances, added to the new trade established in the area plus the growing influence and power of this Godo people assumed that the Romans begin to value them as a possible inconvenience since they were the most powerful barbarian people in Europe at that time.
