Afghanistan is a country that is geographically located in Asia del Sur, the capital of this is Kabul.It has Islam as a more widespread religion, 99.56% of people profess it.Afghanistan is a macho country that usually favors man, this culture should be fought or eradicated.Although the literacy rate in Afghanistan has increased, there are still differences in the male percentage respect for the female.The male literacy rate is 45.42% while the female is 17.61%.
These figures clearly show us the inequality that this country suffers.In the novel thousand splendid soles written by Khaled Hosseini, the author tells us the events that are currently happening in Afghanistan.Teenagers are mistreated and forced to marry their will, fortunately, the Afghan government has launched a national plan to end this practice which is usually more common among families with less resources.In this novel, Hosseini tells us the moving story of a young Afghan named Mariam, illegitimate daughter of a rich businessman.
At fifteen, his life gave a drastic turn when his father sent her against Kabul to marry Rashid, a shoemaker of this ended up mistreating her and trying in a bad way because she was sterile and could not have children.Later, with the arrival of Laila, a fifteen -year -old girl.Mariam felt annoyed and became jealous since Laila gave Rashid the son who destined so much and that she could not.Between both women the relationship was hate at first, although later a very deep relationship began between them, both needed to face the terrible problems that had suffered, this link, later, provided them with the necessary force to overcome all their problemsAnd beaten at once to fear, rashid.
Women in Afghanistan fight daily for their rights, a clear example can be seen in the documentary Boxing for Freedom, where, Sadfaf Rahimi and his sister ShabnamThe road hindered him.Rahimi was invited to participate in the Olympic Games, but the president of Afghanistan prevented him.Due to all the events through which Sadaf and Shabnam passed, finally, they ended up escape from Afghanistan and went to Spain.
To finish, I would like to add my own point of view.Women are mistreated and treated inferiorly in respect for men, this should not be so.There are women who are fighting for their rights, in search of a hopeful future, as is the case of Malalai Joya, Activist and Afghan Politics who was expelled from the Afghan Parliament after making an ironic comment, it is also the case of Sonita Alizadeh, a writer of theSong "Brides for Sale", in this song with its hard story, but in the way, it is not the case of thousands of young people who are sold and condemned for life, Suteita refers to all these women in their song.
