Argumentative Review – Book and Film

In this new installment we are presented with a remastering of the classic movieThis new installment is coupled to the new Canon of Akira Toriyama (Japanese artistic designer), despite being very different from the original (as it was mentioned, it is coupled to the new canon in order to reach a new and larger public)This film maintains the talent that characterizes the famous designer, Akira Toriyama, who has brought us as many majestic works as they are: Dr. Slump, Ginga Paterōru Jako and Dragon Ball (anime/manga that made him go down in and out of Japan).

In the work characters such as: Son Gokū, Vegeta, Broly, Barduck and Gine etc., Although in previous volumes/series we have shown the development of these in the plot, it is interesting to know new details, which in one way or another change the story we already know.

Briefly the film is about the banishment of the newborn Broly towards a planet where life is zero, because the king finds out that this baby is much stronger than his son, upon learning his father of this decision, he decides to go after his son;years later, both the father and Broly are found alive by a group of explorers who offer them to take a where they can start over, before arriving at this new planet they stop at the base of their leader, which when knowing theBroly’s fighting power decides to use it to destroy the earth, they are Gokū and Vegeta decideseries we already knew), you can see the improvement of cartoonist Akira Toriyama and its new influences with the current saga.

To determine if the film is good or bad is ambiguous, since it certainly provides new information for the current saga, but this can be known thanks to the same series, so this film is unnecessary, so it depends on the viewer to see it or not. This book, although complex, is a great work, because despite dealing with “strong” themes, it perfectly conveys an enveloping story for the reader, because each sentence is narrated with great detail, making us enter the protagonist, John Wayne Cleaver, a young 15 -year -old sociopath fond of serial murderers, he lives under strict rules stipulated by himself to maintain his "internal monster after the wall" in order to have a "normal" life.

During the fall a series of brutal and grotesque murders begin to occur, so our protagonist using all his knowledge about serial murderers is decided to find the murderer of his county. During the plot of the book we can demonstrate as John is unable to control his "inner monster", who encourages him to kill also, but manages to control the "monster" thanks to the words of his psychologist, Dr. Neblin, who in hisTherapies tries to help him, even though that means his life as he mentions.

Themes such as the reservoir of corpses are detailed with a surprising level of detail, because as the author mentions in thanks, he studied for many years how he works within a funeral home before launching this book, this analysis conducted by Dan Wells helped himalso as inspiration to create the murders that are presented in this book.

Despite being a youthful work, it is a strong text for a mature audience, so reading it is at the discretion of the reader.
