Name: Instructor: School: Date: The Goal In undertaking business studies, scholars come across books which happen to have much influence in their life. One of such books is the Goal, authored by Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Jeff Cox. The Goal is a book that has much application to many aspects of my life not only in the business career but also in other facets. In this paper, there is an in-depth discussion of the book, the Goal, and the influence that it has in aspects of life. Some of the applications are directly oriented to business while others have much to do life in general. There is a realization that there cannot be a distinct separation of one’s career and their living. There is usually an interconnection. Much of the book is about science and technology. There has been a deliberate effort by the author to demystify the perceptions that people have always had concerning science. Many people regard science as secrets of nature which are difficult for the average mind to grasp. There is concurrence with this demystification because; science is about the discovery of the aspects that could go a long way in helping the human kind live their lives in a much-improved manner and with a lot of conveniences. It is, therefore, essential that there is keeping an open mind while indulging in scientific studies and analysis so as to reap the maximum benefits as opposed to restrictions which may emanate from the misconceptions that science is about challenging things much hidden from the average person.
