What is Healthcare Administration /Management? Student’s Name Institution What is Healthcare Administration /Management? In my perception, healthcare administration refers to the process of ensuring treatment and other activities in the hospital are executed properly. However, I also describe it as the process of ensuring healthcare providers treat and care for patients as the core objective for the establishment of hospitals. However, it is important to note that healthcare administrators are responsible for the administration or management process in hospitals. Some of the reasons that account for my definition of healthcare administration or management include: it deals with managing the size of the hospital. In this regard, the administrators determine the number of offices, workers, and wards in the facility. Additionally, they recruit new staff members in the hospital. Also, the administrators determine the employee assessment criteria for initiating promotion and other motivation incentives. In my opinion, the administration process is responsible for organizing groups and departments within the healthcare facility. In this regard, they ensure the workers relate positively with their supervisors. Additionally, the administrators ensure the nurses and other healthcare providers relate well with the patients and follow relevant ethics and policies. Also, I believe that through the administration process, sensitive information, and other private data is secured from being accessed publicly. In my perception, the healthcare administrators admit patients in hospitals. In this regard, they determine the maximum number of patients that should be attended.
