What is children’s literature for free writing example, 981 words
This work consists in the realization of a critical reflection on the usefulness of literature in early childhood education, in addition to thinking about different ways of promoting motivation and interest in different types of reading such as classical reading in the little ones with the objective ofthat in adolescence or in an adulthood they do not have the feeling that this type of readings bore and can see them from other perspectives.
First, it should be noted that according to Pedro C. Cerrillo and César Sánchez Ortiz Reading classical works of literature has caused great conflicts in mandatory high school and high school. I consider this fact a tremendous error by the teacher since from my point of view it comes from the earliest stages, that is, from the cycle of early childhood education, where this type of readings must be promoted with the approach to books of works of works of worksclassic or even lyrical where they can develop capacities and interests that in the future contribute to improving the understanding of these in higher stages.
On the other hand, classical literature books do not usually be emperated today because much of the qualified inhabitants to perform teaching in early childhood education thinks that the structure of these types of books is very complex to use them at an early age. This thought creates a delay in the educational field since its use has a large multitude of qualities, including an improvement in vocabulary acquisition.
In addition, establishing a first contact with works of classical literature in children and youth stages can raise interest in the culture of the time. This will make children see the difficulties they had formerly and can understand that the facilities we have today are thanks to the great work and effort used by our predecessors. Along the same lines, we can jointly work works where the traditions and cultures of different countries reflect so that our children know different ways of living through reading.
Likewise, this approach to literature will make our students acquire, as we have mentioned above, a greater vocabulary. This will lead to greater mastery of the language, getting children from an early age to acquire good reading habits. The development of reading comprehension capabilities in the near future will also be enhanced, on the occasion of ending the problems of understanding and disinterest in higher courses such as mandatory high school and high school.
On the other hand, I consider that the use of works with an attractive story can help show greater interest and that in this way they can familiarize themselves with this type of readings. In the Childhood Education stage we must make an enormous emphasis on classic books that attract attention to the little ones.
Therefore, referring to the above, we can affirm that introducing literature in the cycle of Early Childhood Education is an aspect that I consider fundamental due to the enormous benefits that our students contribute both in the short and long term.
Once we have reflected on the importance of reading at an early age, we will continue to comment on the purpose of children’s and youth literature in the Early Childhood Education stage.
On the other hand, many of the classic stories used in Early Childhood Education have the objective of transmitting or instilling values such as friendship, empathy, solidarity and respect among others. It should be noted that the ideal way of working with literary works in our Infant Education Classroom will be those that have situations or experiences that approach the reality of the child. Works such as "The Ugly Duckling", by Hans Christian Andersen and "Wombats: The magical event", from Fatima, among others, are clear examples of the type of theme for which the students of the Childhood Education cycle can feel attracted and thereforeThey will show a greater interest.
Something similar occurs with the use of classic literature works for the introduction of topics on aspects of everyday life such as loneliness, poverty, marginalization and can even help us introduce the issue of death in a natural way. These types of issues, for some they can become a great unknown because some families think it is too early to have a conversation about these types of issues and therefore will produce a high degree of interest.
Along the same lines, it is worth highlighting lyrical works such as “Platero y I”, by Juan Ramón Jiménez. A work that we initially think that we are not useful in the Infant Education Classroom due to the type of vocabulary that we can find, considering it as inappropriate or of a higher level at the time of understanding. However, we can take advantage of a multitude of texts, which fundamentally treat thematic such as death and memory.
Something similar happens with what Juan Mata says, and that is that “there are children’s books that still bother or anger adults. His misgivings respond to the conception of childhood as a pure and innocent territory, protected from the contamination of the real world ”(P.114-115). As a result of an indoctrinating education, there are many parents who do not speak to their children about issues considered by them taboos, as is the issue of sexuality. Sometimes, certain issues with the little ones cost us work, but from my point of view I consider that matters such as homosexuality should not be hidden since you can receive erroneous information from outside and this can be avoided with a prior conversation about thesetopics.
Children’s literature has advanced a lot about these aspects and can help us explain issues about sexual orientation through texts and stories with which they can show greater interest.
