Total Imperialism Control

Introduction

Through this work, I will explain the concept of imperialism of the nineteenth century, emphasizing the one carried out by the states of European origin and leaving aside other world powers such as the United States or Japan that in this study have no place. I will also establish the difference in concepts with colonialism produced in previous centuries. In addition, I will present and deepen the different stages or phases of the chosen theme, including examples of different types. Likewise, I will show relevant facts related to imperialism during that time and its impact today.

Developing

To achieve my purpose, I will combine text, images and graphics to make this project much more understandable and enjoyable. From my point of view, the theme that I have chosen on this occasion represents an error of the past that has become not only a short -term problem, but also an impediment that has stopped the progress of different aspects such as the economic, social, socialor long -term cultural from different places on the planet. The fact of making the rest of the people inhabit the world in a different or rather superior way, creates irreparable fractures at least in the short term and destabilizes the natural order of things.

Between the 16th and 18th centuries, the great European powers such as Spain, France or England, had established colonies in different territories around the world. These colonies were mostly located in American territory, although we also found some on African and Asian soil, but in a much more dispersed and without much importance way. The metropolis controlled these territories, not looking for direct political control, but to establish a series of commercial relations. That is why the European powers established subordination links with the colonized peoples.

They also imposed the structures of the European continent, including their way of life. Also highlight the fact that there was no organized conquest of any kind. All this would mean the first flashes of capitalism that would be formed shortly afterwards. A few years later, with the appearance of liberalism, practically all American colonies managed to become independent. The transition from traditional colonialism to imperialism occurred during the first half of the nineteenth century, with the one already appointed previously the disappearance of mercantilism and the struggle to abolish slavery that was used by the settlers are added.

Europe in these years, is characterized by its demographic vitality and its superiority both economically and technically. But in the second half of the nineteenth century, the European continent lives a strong economic crisis caused by the massive entry of wheat and flours from other countries such as the United States or Russia, which lower prices of continental products and initiates a recession in theAgrarian world. The proposed solution consists in looking for new markets and imposing the so -called protectionism through the "colonial pact". Set of little systematized economic doctrines.

They were carried out between the 18th centuries, by European countries and their colonies. Its objective was to contribute to enhancing the figure of the monarch through economic aspects. From this moment we can talk about the term imperialism. This concept unlike the previous one, has strong relations with nationalism. The European powers that carry it out, systematically seek the conquest of the largest number of territories, this time in Africa, much of Asia and Oceania, with the aim of enriching themselves and thus reaching the range not only of European powerbut also world power.

In imperialism they did not want a cultural transformation of the conquered territories, even if it was an indirect consequence, but rather political, economic and military control. Some aspects that contributed to this territorial expansion were the different geographical or anthropological explorations and also the work carried out by the missionaries by wanting to evangelize the greatest number of people not belonging to Christianity. In 1870 it is when these territories begin to take possession, which will not begin to achieve independence until years after World War II. Some will not reach it until the second half of the twentieth century.

conclusion

This systematic conquest of territories was carried out differently according to the place where it was performed, Africa or Asia, for example, or according to European power, different methods were followed. But, in one way or another, the territories were also dominated in a political and economic way. Also say that these facts originated a series of consequences and conflicts quite problematic that today still leave a mark. For all the above in this introduction I have decided to do this job, since what we are currently living, luckily or unfortunately is a consequence of all that done without thinking about the future and only one in oneself.
