  • FIRST ACT

The first act of this work serves as an introduction not only for the characters, but to the historical context in which it develops, because the story begins as Helmer, the patriarch of the family, has been promoted to director of abank.

Nora, on the other hand, is presented to us as a typical housewife which, in Christmas times (date on which the story begins) begins to waste the money her husband gives her to buy decorations and gifts.

It is at this point of the plot where Cristina Linde is introduced to us in history, presented as a friend of Nora, who comes to visit after several years of absence because of having welcomed;This character serves as a means for the author to tell us the main problem of the story, because our protagonist reveals his great secret: when her sick husband had to travel to southern Italy, where she asked for a loan in the bank falsifying theSignature of his dying father. Shortly after being there her father dies, making her husband never find out about her serious illness or money loan.

Henrik well takes this first act to show us the daily life of Nora’s life and how she feels no remorse for what she did, because she feels that she had a good reason. However, his daily life will be in danger when his past error returned in the form of the main antagonist of the work;Krostag. Who is shown as a despicable person for falsifying signatures, and is the one who helped Nora in that bank crime, and now seeks to blackmail her.

This is how the Norwegian playwright splendid the leading characters and the main axis of the plot that seeks to count. The first act serves as a preamble for the true intention of the work, which is a deep analysis that to the macho society of the time.

• SECOND ACT.

During the second act of this work, Nora’s concern is explored for her secret, she desperately asks her husband not to dismiss Krostag, in this part you can see how the plot is developing through the different situations in theWhat is our protagonist to be able to safeguard his crime.

Krostag subsequently threatens it by not having fulfilled its initial objective, so everything is given.

• Third act

At the end of the evening, Helmer and his wife return home just to meet two cards in the mailbox, being one of them from Krostag, and containing in it all the truth about fraud.

The story ends in a heated fight between Nora and her husband, in that fight she realizes that all her life has been treated as a "doll" (both by her father and her husband) and that she really has never had a voicenor vote in your family.

Nora evolves as a character just to understand the role so retrograd that he has been fulfilling throughout his life and that he barely realized.

Subsequently, Helmer receives an apology letter by Krostan who forgave Nora’s debt because he had accepted Miss Linde’s setting. After this letter Nora is forgiven by her husband, however, she had already understood her true intentions, and her behavior demonstrated it at every moment.

Finally, Nora agrees to seek her own freedom over any other person, so she decides to flee her family environment in search of her true happiness not only as a woman, but as a person.

Significantly this is the act where the greatest transition from the character of a fearful house. History leaves us with an interesting criticism of the patriarchal family and especially the concept that was had at that time about women and the role it plays at home.
