The Weddings of Cana: María, the first correspondible

Who has not ever read the biblical passage on Cana’s weddings? John 2: 1-11. The one where Mary, having finished the wine, asked her son, Jesus, to do her first miracle. But this passage has several aspects.

1. The;Maria’s love for others, which leads her to execute one of the pillars of co -responsibility: the service. Maria I do not wait for someone to ask for a favor. She saw the need in her friends and Presto dedicated himself to serving, to shake hands where he would need. Until that time, Jesus had not done any miracle, he even told his mother: "My time has not yet arrived". But, despite, Jesus could not resist the strong request of his mother Maria. His love for her was beyond what has already been established, of the order he should continue as the Son of God. However, while still the Son of God, he gave a great weight to his facet as a son of Mary, a pure, humble and loving woman, but also faithful to God and his mandate in his maximum commandment, “love God aboutall things and others like yourself ".

So, to formably form, we must follow the steps of Mary, serving without measure our neighbor, not waiting for a service to be requested, but looking for where the need is located and carried out said service. On the other hand, that service must be accompanied by another of the great pillars of co -responsibility, prayer. We pray for that neighbor for the Lord to direct us in the correct way to provide such service and forming it correspondably to Him, with the example of our service. In this way we cover another pillar of co -responsibility, training. And this training is carried out by example. That example that is loaded with love and overflows in service.

two. Another aspect is the human part of Jesus. He attends a wedding with his mother, to accompany his friends at such an important date. Jesus son, second person of the Holy Trinity, also teaches us within this passage the love of neighbor. Proof of this humanity of Jesus also see her in the passage where she cries for the death of Lázaro, her friend. John 11:35. God sent his loved son to the world to suffer, to feel like everyone else, to train us with his co -responsible example. However, only the Son of God would be able to endure the strongest pain that a human being could feel, die for our sins.

Returning to the weddings, Jesus told his mother that it was not yet his time, however he made the decision to give his brothers, serving in the need of these. I have always been curious to know how those friends felt before the miracle of Jesus. How grateful they would be to see a big problem solved, an event that would put them in shame before the other guests. Jesus, while God, was a Son, was a friend, was co -responsible.

3. One of the most important and relevant aspects, in my opinion of this passage is Maria’s trust. She asked her son for a favor and although he originally refused, she knew, as a mother that he would not fail. I do not consider the fact of the original refusal, but immediately told the servants: "Do what he tells them".

How did Mary know that Jesus was going to access her order?

That is called trust. How great that trust. How safe she felt about

to the great and unconditional love of his beloved son. How much love, how much faith, how much

confidence. Mary wants to transmit that confidence in Jesus. We give us an example so that we can face any adverse situation in life. He tells us that we just have to deposit that extreme confidence that she herself deposited in her son at that time.

But you also want to convey us co -responsible love. He wants us to learn from her to serve our neighbor, to imitate her as a co -responsible woman. This co -responsibility entails the fact of examining the need, serving, praying for that neighbor, providing an example with our service helping in your training and being welcoming.

In summary, this biblical passage is a sign that Maria was the first co -responsible, since through her support to Cana’s bride and groom, she was able to intertwine those four basic pillars of co -responsibility: the reception, prayer, service and training.

Let’s imitate Maria. Let’s be co -responsible like Maria. Let’s examine how co -responsible are. Which of the pillars we carry out in our daily lives and how need we are to perform that service, to reach the culmination of co -responsibility.
