The trees of the Eden Garden

Did you realize that there were two trees in the garden of Eden?

  1. Tree of knowledge of good and evil
  2. The Tree of Life

"God made everything pleasant tree to eating and good to eat, the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of knowledge of good and evil" (Genesis, 2: 9).

The tree of knowledge of good and evil

God ordered Adam and Eva not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for eating from fruit, as God said; ‘The day you eat from him, you’ll certainly die’ (Genesis, 2:17). God meant that Adam and Eve would die physically? No, what he meant was that Adam would change his current state of existence. Not participating in the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Adam and Eve effectively resided within the spiritual kingdom of the immortal. By disobeying God, they actually fell from grace and became mortal at the physical level.

What caused this act of challenge? Well, there are a number of factors, the first is free will. Adam and Eva had been given this gift, they could be affected in their own decisions, but also free will provides the opportunity to reverse previous decisions and overcome previous experiences. Second, Eva was seduced to try the fruit by a snake that informed her that when she participated in the fruit she and Adam will not die (physical death), but rather ‘they will be like gods, knowing good and evil’ they would know what that God and his angels knew it.

Immediately after eating the fruit, they became mortal (spiritual death) and began to experience all psychic or earthly desires and discomforts, as evidenced by the initial realization of their nakedness.

It is interesting to notice God’s reaction: ‘Man has now become one of us in the knowledge of good and evil’. (Genesis, 3:22). Declaration of support pronounced by the snake. This literally mentioned that by eating the fruit his eyes had opened to the reality of the universe and how it worked.

What God was indicating is that Adam and Eva now had access to the sacred knowledge to which only God and the angels had access. This is where the tree of life does not acquire its importance.

The Tree of Life

During the time within the garden of Eden, the tree of life had little prominence within history so far. God declares that if Adam and Eva eat the fruit of the tree of life would recover their immortality and this combined with access to the powers obtained by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, this would place them on the same level as God and Los Angeles. ‘Now it should be prevented from extending his hand and also taking the tree of life, because he can eat it and live forever!’(Genesis, 3:22).

Then God placed a cherub with a ‘fire sword’ to protect him against any future entry to the garden. (Genesis, 3:24)

Cherubines are traditionally angels of humanity, aligned with the moon, the source of hidden power, which is also under the government of Archangel Gabriel. Why does God not want Adam and Eva to enter the garden again? We try to respond to this a little later.

conclusion

From the perspective of Paulino art, although the history of the garden of Eden is an allegory, its main value is in its interpretation.

  1. God has given man ‘free will’. One of his greatest gifts.
  2. Adam did not die physically by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil; He changed the states of existence, of a non -materialistic spiritual existence (immortality or spiritual death) to a physical existence (mortality). There are indications that the state of mortality / immortality was not a decisive factor in Adams’s decision to eat fruit.
  3. What was Adam’s primary engine? Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, what was God’s plan? They could not reproduce because they did not experience physical impulses, they did not have to look for food. His life was idyllic! For man to develop, he needs challenges, experiences and the feeling that he has control. Adam had none of these. This was God’s plan. Man must take the initiative to develop and grow. And Adam accepted the challenge.
  4. Through the centuries, the snake has represented knowledge, particularly hidden knowledge. The tree of knowledge of good and evil can be represented by the mercury glyph, the planet of knowledge and hidden sciences. It has also been suggested that real to snake translation can be incorrect. In Hebrew, the word seraphim means both burning snake and angel.
  5. God wanted man to grow and develop, that he became the best he could. Yes, Adam was expelled from the Eden Garden. But God also provided the tools to recover Eden or Non -Spiritual Materialism. The fruits of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
  6. The fruit of the tree, of which there were 22 in allegorical terms, each of these 22 apples represented the knowledge of God, that each of his archangels had equally. The reference to good and evil does not mean that we have to study the evil or any negative aspect of the archangels. What it means is that its powers can be used positively or negatively (free will).
  7. Adam (or man) Once again, on the physical plane, he would have to apply his free will to select the path of good or evil. As we all do.
  8. So why did God prevent Adam from eating the fruit of the tree of life? Simple, Adam had to recover his non -materialistic spiritual state through the effort, development and growth that could be obtained with the help of the angels of God’s teaching. The tree of life can be represented by the planet Venus, whose glyph is similar to the Egyptian Ankh, the symbol of life.
  9. The man (Adam) can choose the wrong path, but for those who wish to recover the right path, the path that God wants us all to follow, He has provided them with the way to follow, his instructors angels.

Then, the history of the garden of Eden is not all pessimism and fatality, God recognized that man (as well as the angels of God) are not robots or infallible, due to the gift of free will. We will make mistakes or even choose the way to total destruction, but for those who do not want to follow that path, his angels will help them. But we must all win this possible objective.
