The revolutionary era of Porfiriato in Mexico
Introduction
Once consolidated in power, Díaz began a conciliation policy between the most favored sectors of the country. Regional chiefs allowed them to maintain local power in exchange for their loyalty. It was reconciled with the Catholic Church and its former enemies, new schools, theaters, museums and academies were founded. The most important intellectuals thought that only industrial science and modernization would take the country out of their backwardness. To achieve this, abroad capitals had to be imported. Investors from the United States, France and England created powerful companies in the field of mining, agriculture, electricity, commerce and railways. However, the progress of Mexico was achieved many times at the expense of the weakest, that is, the peasants, who were stripped of their land by the demarcating companies and by ambitious landowners. Agricultural workers and pawns endured long working hours in exchange for a miserable day.

It is said that life expectancy ranged from 29 years due to poor hygiene and that medical – health progress was very slow. Health assistance was private and leaving hospitals as in charge of the health of the poor.
