The requirements to achieve food security in Mexico
Talking about food security in Mexico is something extremely important, a problem that has been dragging long ago, it is essential to create strategies, where the linking of different sectors must be important for the establishment of bases;where can the problems of malnutrition and overweight be mitigated in our country.
In Mexico it does not have enough food production, the population demands and it is worth mentioning that there is much of a population, more lacking that they do not have access to them. Among other aspects, this scenario is the effect of the degradation of the living standards of the population in most of the country, that is, of the increase in food prices and the loss of the purchasing power of wages. At the same time, it is well known that there are fewer Mexicans dedicated to food production every day, due to the abandonment in which the field has been found for decades. (Sandoval Godoy & López Salazar, 2018)
The actions that are required against food insecurity must focus on local production support as an important point to highlight. The creation of programs, and livestock production actions through subsidies or interest without interest focused on favoring food security, which the production of being high. (López Salazar & Gallardo García, 2015)
Reach that agricultural activity is profitable at all levels, to ensure that the agricultural culture of Mexicans does not continue to be lost. Propose to stimulate the national industry related to food production and nutrition, starting from the basic agricultural, livestock and fish farm implements that solve local needs, to appropriate biotechnologies. (Larqué Saavedra, 2013)
Establish the guarantee price policy of the two basic food and bean food products that give food to Mexico. Financing the pertinent, feasible science and technology that commit researchers to integrate into a crusade of results for Mexican food security. This will symbolize a type of project that facilitate a short -term response. (Larqué Saavedra, 2013) Fix again in the widest range of species that make up the traditional food map in the different regions or micro -regions of the country that must be of great help for consolidation of food security.
The duplication and structuring of nutrition education programs established in the richness of the biodiversity of the food basket, which will allow society to opt for natural foods. In which a decrease in diseases such as malnutrition, diabetes and obesity can be reflected.
As mentioned (Urquía Fernández, 2014) the eradication of food insecurity demands a redesign of a policy and strategies oriented to this purpose, in a participatory process that considers the multidimensionality of food security, the institutionality that ensures the coordination and coherence of thesector policies and the proposal of indispensable resources. So you must have a public spending management aimed at agriculture is adequate to promote investment in agriculture. (Urquía Fernández, 2014).
The research carried out by (Urquía Fernández, 2014) is interesting in the way in which it describes the country’s food situation mentioning the data obtained from different organizations, it is worth mentioning that the type of research used is a non -experimental investigation since they are descriptive transectional.
It is necessary, to create a procedure that works as much as possible that guarantees that all people enjoy a dignified life with the possibility of ascending within the staircase of social development and this must be started having food security in all regions of the country.
