The Odyssey of my latest teaching practices

Introduction

My last and so longed for residences began on September 18, 2020 in the 0-118 Dra garden. María Estela Lima Páez de Furlani. I had to face the idea of going beyond planning and understanding true changes in the educational process. The challenge was, in this confinement, to provide children with the opportunity to look through a cell phone or a computer, a series of games and activities designed in a thorough manner and with the idea that significant experiences are lived at home withthat the little ones manage to continue learning.

That is where fears, doubts, nerves arose, not knowing if I was going to live up to the circumstances, to ask me all the time, how am I going to do it? How am I going to make my proposals relevant? And many more questions to those who made it difficult for me to find some answer.

My greatest fear: how could they accompany me to rethink the fact of reaching children to their homes and that they remain attended by me? Because regardless of the title educator is in charge of the group could not neglect the situation that I, as a student, was also learning. It is evident that the social crisis we face implies generating proposals that should not remain in simple ideas, but can be carried out and obtain good results.

My first week was within all satisfactory. I felt the accompaniment by teacher and director where they verified how I was understanding the interaction of the educator with the families and students, with the didactic resources and how I learn to put into play all the contents learned for the design of a series of strategies of strategies ofteaching and giving the opportunity for children to have learning that favor the development of their abilities as human beings.

My odyssey was going to begin when presenting the planning of the second weekly agenda, which was a great frustration: I could not carry it out, since it had to modify several activities and the time of the agreement was not respected. I imagined that I was not going to be able to continue with my teaching practices, I sank into my own tears, I could not fall asleep, I lost my appetite and endless emotions found at that time when I thought I had completely failed in these instances in these instances. Where I thought that everything I did was wrong or nothing was good, hours and hours doing and editing videos, audios, images and activities so that they would then modify me without understanding why.

After having spent all the anger and the bad moment I could sit down to think, reflect and I came to understand that both the teacher and director carried out the task of analyzing my proposals acting several dimensions to help me improve the learning situations before doing themcome to children.

Due to my attitude and commitment I could improve the planning having an open mind to listen, study and rebuild my designs that were necessary, so that they are worthy of reaching the children’s homes.

conclusion

It is time to rethink about my practices and reason about the strategies and learning situations that I could offer children from my own home to value to where I put into play the use and domain of the different contents that I learned in all my training;And with those who now gave me the opportunity to design and face real situations, in a teaching located. So I am in that, and no, it is not easy, because my idea of work with technology was quite closed and today I realize that the technological resource does not remain only to think about it as a means, but to develop the learning of thestudents.

I am sure that the training teacher assumed the challenge of guiding me to face this crisis and get the best of me. Of course, in my continuous training that specifies the idea that crises serve to grow, improve, transcend, transform and know that once the problem of COVID-19 is finished, we will not be the same again, because we will have to have developed othersskills as people and also as professionals, which will give us a different look at what school means, teaching, learning, and, above all, children.
