THE NEED FOR THE ERADICATION OF CHILD LABOR

To the extensive of society’s progress and with this that of humanity, child exploitation has been seen with strong references in the world. In the 16th century, children began to include in mining tasks, due to their contribution, since they could enter difficult places for the body of an elder; It also establishing that the girls were the ones that had to exercise the homework, which if it was never or has been paid, it is also considered as work.

At present, the childhood cycle context to a fundamental period in physical, mental and social progress, there was not always a tribute of it as a differentiated position of adults, which is why it is the resolution of a complicated processFrom building in society whose origins date back to the seventeenth century.

The 18th century with the industrial revolution, it is indicated that the use of children’s labor appears and since then it was considered a conflict because throughout history, children have helped their parents in the countryside, in the business orIn the home; That is why this use of infants in factories was called child exploitation, in which many children were disfigured or died while doing certain dangerous works.

In the attempt to eliminate child labor, the following activities have been carried out:

  • Raise awareness among the community and the "bosses" or employers of how necessary is that children have a good education.
  • Give talks to street children and thus promote them to have access to one of their rights: education.
  • What has not been done to eliminate this abuse is:
  • Eradicate poverty.
  • Delete social norms that legitimize children’s work or service.

Definition of the case study:

Africa is one of the continents with more children who are victims of child labor, with more than 100 million children and adolescents (in 2015). Children are still the most vulnerable suffered by abuse of power worldwide.

Worldwide:

  • According to 400 million children studies, they are enslaved.
  • 2 million women and girls are affected by the traffic of people and sexual slavery.
  • In Africa:
  • In Kenya, about two million children are agricultural workers.
  • In Benin there are more than 450.000 boys and girls subjected.

The latest world evaluations of the ILO referring to child labor indicate that in Africa, progress in the elimination of children’s exploitation is lower. It is irrefutable that this great conflict is not solved by extreme poverty, the exaggerated population increase, political imbalance, among others.

It is reported that in several Africa countries, children are victims of the worst forms of childhood service, of which the most alarming are their traffic, recruitment armed conflicts, mining in low degree, risk risky in agriculture, sexual exploitation and domestic commission. It is known that in some areas there are still boys and girls trapped in situations of submission by debts and slavery. This continent has the highest incidence of economically active boys and girls with 26.4% of the total children aged 5 to 14 years.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE STUDY CASE:

We chose the project referring to the labor exploitation of children because it is of great controversy, since in addition to being relative with the abuse and violation of their human rights, this information greatly influences the investigations that have been done from the economy ofseveral countries that support this atrocious act.

This issue takes great value related to another significant issue for humanity that is poverty because in this the thought of populations, because they have to search the way of surviving and the only way they have left is to put their childrenTo comply with different works, in the same way this issue is elementary to the community of several countries where children are not allowed to develop in their education and limit them to make other decisions in order to obtain profits.

In addition, the increase in social inequalities, labor exclusion suffered mainly by women and young people, child exploitation, are only some of the effects caused by globalization. Therefore, we feel that the elaboration of an investigation that determines the degrees of danger to which the children are subjected, since this will contribute as a prior report to adopt projects and prevent and try to eliminate this social conflict is essential. Finally, our exploration announced the limits required by work to the integral development to which children and young people are subject, who are forced to work or rarely have to make the difficult decision to work for the existing needs intheir homes, which negatively affect the delight and use of their rights, and in their physical, psychological and intellectual progress.
