The importance of the history of leadership in organizations

In today’s world the only constant is change, hence leaders must prepare to be able to innovate, motivate and adapt to the new and unexpected situations that arises. In all this organizational leadership is fundamental. In recent years, mobile telephony, the Internet and email have decisively impacted on the organization of companies and leadership styles. Real -time communication has facilitated the most agile treatment between the different structures of companies. In the market, changes have also been generated, in such a way that waiting times have practically eliminated, customers now demand immediate solutions, and require being able to speak at the time with the ideal person; This, therefore, is a great challenge for the business leader.

Therefore, the challenge is ‘to get people from people and a proactive attitude that allows channeling all the creative energies of the organization towards the achievement of a common project’ (Norton, 1998), especially if you have inAccount that the processes of economic globalization and commercial opening have influenced competition and speed of production, as well as consumer interest and tastes.

Leadership has spoken a lot, due to its importance in the history of organizations, whether social, political to even military. It has always been a topic debated among large bus. Some specialists see leadership as a broad and visionary activity that tries to discern the characteristic competition and values of an organization. In this sense, leadership can be interpreted and analyzed from two perspectives: as a personal quality of the leader and as a function within an organization, community or society.

Therefore, a successful leader cannot be characterized as a tax or permissive leader. It is one that has a good record for successful evaluation of forces that determine which behavior on your part would be the most appropriate at a given time;a good record for having been effective, in fact, of acting according to your trial.

Organizations depend, to grow and endure the leadership of their leaders and this is valid for those who have profit and those that do not. Since organizations depend on the leader, we need to see what aspects of this are important.

In summary, leadership is important, since it is vital for the survival of any organization. It is important, because it is the ability of a boss to guide and direct. An organization can have adequate planning, control etc. And not survive the lack of an appropriate leader, even this organization can lack planning and control, but, having a good leader can get ahead. The best leaders are those who are visionaries, who are able to understand the productive situations for the company before they present themselves, are innovative and are in favor of the change. We can give Bill Gates as an example, which thanks to his leader qualities was able to found one of the most important companies in the technological sector, Microsoft and, thanks to the decisions he knew how to make and that he got influential companies to trust him, became the richest person in the world. He was able to understand that computers one day would become an indispensable part of households, and worked developing the products that allowed it. We assume that it is a good example of a visionary leader.

In conclusion we can say that leadership is about the process of conducting the activities of a group and influencing the behaviors they develop. A leader has the capacity and personality that allow him to become a group guide, controlling all individuals who are part of this. In addition, it is recognized as authority within the group and the members believe that it provides important resources. To be a leader, on the other hand, to have the ability to communicate. Not only know how to clearly express the ideas and mandates, but also know how to listen and keep in mind what each individual thinks that is part of the group that is represented. It is also essential to have emotional intelligence. That is, with the ability to conduct the feelings and emotions of oneself and others and use the information to achieve the fundamental objective of the group. Being able to affirm that organizational leadership is a tool that generates change in the functional structure of any additional company to this, it can be affirmed that organizations must take advantage of the competitive advantages of their structure to implement the organizational leadership model that is most effective, the manager is the main representation of leadership and must transmit it directly at all levels of the organization and the results are the set of attitudes, values, knowledge and actions that emerge from organizational leadership.
