The importance of biology and structural organization of living matter

The study of biology has represented considerable advance for the human being and thanks to this, today we can know our body, its organs, functions, our planet, among others. The importance of the study of biology establishes that thanks to this knowledge we can slowly advance in subjects such as health, observing the evolutions of our body and anticipating or solving evils.

Biology is broad, thus the formation of it will collaborate in the well -being of the human species, but also to other species that live between us and which we obtain great benefits. Biology has also been important in various studies associated with diseases such as infections or cancers; And through biology we can warn how our body is changing to these diseases. Biology is an open science that in fact grows day by day and advances very fast thanks to this we continue to discover new species, medicines, viruses, among others.

Hippocrates was the one who gave a biological concept of life, the Greek Aristotle who discovered the first classifications of Aristotle animals is the greatest naturalist of antiquity and its greatest study was the living nature thus formulo that the beginning of the organisms are foundadapted to the environment in which they live.

Biology has been developed over the years thanks to this, researchers have dedicated their lives to the study of nature. Approximately in the sixteenth century the studies that detailed living beings, biology in the Modern Age suffered a great revolution in the countries of Europe and carried out experiments of new organs.

Biology studies the food we consume, in charge of the processes included in the production of nutritional substances and also studies pests that affect living beings, the work of biology is to find the cure without damaging other species.

All fields of biology are of great importance for the well -being of living beings. It is still difficult to define that life is, which is why there is a list of the characteristics of living beings. The specific organization ensures that living beings are composed of cells since the cell phone can be defined as the simplest part of living matter and are called unicellular. They are subdivided into the cell, the molecule, the organism and the population. We have a biological order in each existing organism that are levels of organization:

  • Atoms form molecules.
  • The molecules create cells.
  • The cells make up tissue.
  • The tissues make up organs.
  • The organs form devices and systems.
  • The devices and systems create the living being.

Organization levels of living beings

  • The cell are biomolecules that when they come together with each other a unique structure that is capable of reacting before everything around it.
  • The tissue are cells that are grouped giving rise to organs, tissues, systems and devices, it is said that it is the alliance of cells that have the same structure and function.
  • An organ is formed by tissues that perform a certain function.
  • The organs when grouped fulfill a vital function and thus form devices and systems.

The combinations of chemical elements are part of matter, living matter and inert their composition are different despite the fact that some elements share. Living matter shows different degrees of structural variety called levels of organization.

Molecular biology has contributed a lot since those that knowledge about the function and structure of nucleic acids and proteins are the key to all living matter.Cellular biology is related to molecular biology, cell biologists study their structure at the molecular level.
