The family, the right to human life in the community

Myriam Hoyos says rightly: “Any right that is recognized or granted to the person as such, requires as a primary assumption, the right to life; Any failure in the guarantee and recognition of other human rights is inevitably a ruling in the protection of the right to life ”.

The right to life is an alienable right, it cannot be abandoned, nor can it revoke, change, negotiate. It is at the same time a personal good and a social good. From this point of view, the legalization of the death penalty cannot be accepted, since man would fall into an absurd contradiction, stating that he is entitled to life and at the same time there is no.

However, the family based on love, and institutionalized to procreate is the first social entity called to generate human life, respect and protect it to guarantee the continuation of the species within a framework of ethical values ​​that dignify the person the person.

This is why the couple who joins in marriage, as well as has the right to have children, also has the duty to have only those who can take care of, feed, educate and train according to their possibilities and opportunities. It is no longer about having "all the children that God wants to send", or allow them to get to life without being loved, or desired. The responsibility of having a child is a commitment to be life, it is a wonderful gift of God, which cannot be arbitrarily arranged.
