The effect of globalization

The concept of globalization is currently a popular but very controversial issue, and has been one of the most debated issues since the collapse of communism. It means different things for different people, but in most cases it is still a loose and poorly defined concept. Globalization has several definitions, but an indisputable fact that everyone agrees with is the fact that it is a complex process that has broad and varied impacts on economies, both developed and in development.

Critically looking at the concept, it can be said that globalization in its broadest sense is a prismatic, complex and multidisciplinary issue. It can be examined from several angles that include not only the economic, the most common point of view, but also the social, cultural, ideological and political.

Current globalization has now clear the path for world development, but progress is not ‘uniform’ since some nations are being integrated into the global economy faster than others than others.

This means that globalization does not have the same benefits for all members of the global community. It has more benefits for the members of the developed nations, while it can be said that developing nations are in a rather private position. But closely observing the impacts of globalization in developing countries, one would observe both sides of the currency, since it has both positive and negative impacts. Globalization has had many positive effects on developing countries. For example, he played an important role in the ability of some countries to achieve their independence.

Another positive impact of globalization in developing countries is an increase in living standards. One of the objectives of the globalization of economies is to reduce poverty, and this objective is being achieved through greater access to foreign financing of industrialized nations to developing countries. And the expense of these funds to improve the educational, health, social and transport infrastructure of the countries in development helps improve the standard of living of people.

Thanks to globalization, developing countries now have access to new markets. And this has been used by several nations. This opening allows the transnational movement of labor, foreign capital, new technologies and management to the developing countries of the most industrialized nations.

Other positive impacts of globalization in developing countries give better access to foreign culture and entertainment through television broadcasts, music, clothing, movies, etc. Greater cooperation between governments and the ability to work with a better approach to the achievement of common objectives; and the dissemination of knowledge and technical knowledge among member countries, especially the less privileged countries. Much has been said about the improvement of technology, but globalization also improves communication, since it leads to faster communication and transportation.

In addition, globalization leads to global competition and, in the long run, to local competition, which guarantees the improvement of creative capacities and innovative abilities. Competition between products producers ensures the quality of products and services at reduced prices, which leads to specialization and efficiency.

One of the main negative impacts of globalization in developing countries is poverty.
