The Auschwitz pharmacist

Introduction

This book tells us about Auschwitz’s pharmacist in World War II. Victor Capesius was a doctor who works for Nazi Germany in one of the most terrible concentration camps: Auschwitz. Capesius works in the field for a few years (1943-1945), but the things that make the destiny of many Jews, political prisoners and other ‘criminals’ who were deported in mass simply because they do not like Nazis. The reasons are many, despite this, it was a critical period that marked the history of many countries and people.

Developing

Víctor Capesius arrived in Auschwitz in 1943 as a doctor to the field. He gave medicines to the sick and injured to the camp and, on the other side of the camp, he attended soldiers and other people to the SS or their families. When mass deportation began, the pharmacist presented himself to see the selection of millions of people to die or work hard because he selected specific people to play for his experiments. Selected from special diseases to pregnant women, it had a special fixation for twins. But Capesius wanted to make the selection and persuaded Melenge, after a month, Capesius was promoted to the chief of selection with the freedom to do all the experiments I wanted.

Capesius was responsible for managing the final solution with Bayer. This solution killed 5,000 people per day, for this the pharmacist had to hire a lot of person and make the same prisoners do the dirty work. Capesius was also stealing dental gold with the dentist, stealing valuable things from the suitcases and the market with the prisoners. For this reason, the pharmacist was the worst SS of Auschwitz. In the end, Capesius was never punished for anything and lived his life quietly as a pharmacist.

conclusion

Confirm the cruelty of the human being in the past centuries, there is no way to describe so much cruelty to the people who were judged by their religion, culture and language that have no way of defending themselves with the immensity of the Nazi army. We are talking about millions of people deprived of liberty who, when they reached the concentration camps, were subject to confiscation of their properties, forced labor, sexual slavery of women, medical experimentation, death due to excess work, etc. Malnutrition and diseases derived from the lack of hygiene.

In my opinion, one of the most unpredictable experiments of the Chief Pharmaceutical Audchwist Megele (The Angel of Death) was heterochromy research, a condition in which the iris of a person has a different color and for their investigation he had a wallcompletely covered with eye cells. We can judge thousands of ways, but we are not different from them, only today we have ‘Morales’ more marked. There are many things that we still have to change and a good start is to start with oneself, thanks to this type of books we can reflect on how we want to live.
