The 19th century, the Century of Industrialization
A hundred changing years, wars and battles all over the world, emancipations and discoveries, revolutions and diseases, were characteristics of the nineteenth century, distinguishing it from all the time elapsed in our history;being known as "the century of industrialization". Consequences of all these changes and transformations, were the emergence of several movements or "ideologies" that managed to divide society;arguing it concisely in the following paragraphs.
We will begin, with liberalism, presented in the 1680s, stage of the English Revolution, which ended the absolute monarchy system in England, originating the current British parliamentary democracy;This being a key moment in the history of Great Britain, "the English people had an outstanding interest in European affairs," said American historian Steve Pincus, through the elaboration of arguments contrary to the absolute monarchy and ecclesial power;From there, liberalism must emerge, which proposed that "being men by nature free, equal and independent, none can be subtracted from that condition and subject to the political power of another without his own consent";Being freedom, a basic right, justifying any attempt to limit it ”(History of liberalism. Another example is in the 1789, development of another revolution, but this time in France;The people overthrew the absolutist monarchy and written, the first universal declaration of human rights, due to the need for the State to guarantee economic and social equality among all citizens;Civil rights of equality, freedom and justice, have been the basis of several struggles for different social reasons such as decriminalization and regulation of voluntary interruption of pregnancy or equal marriage and protection of same -sex couples.
1818. Year of many;in which the Europeans conquered a large part of Latin America by leaps, but they were not the only ones who had that desire, because North American was interested in the fact of expanding and colonizing more land, the difference;is that they were based on religion. The United States justified so many of its abuses in the continent with being convinced to be the people chosen by God to reign others. The emergence of the manifest destiny would mark his desire to reign, his first appearance was in 1845 in an article published in the magazine Democratic Review in New York, in which the need to demonstrate being a people chosen by God is based, in addition tobe coupled by the monroe doctrine "America for Americans".
At the end of the 17th century, what is also known today appears, as nationalism, which had its origins in the old continent, in English political experts as a reaction, the old universalist order inherited from the Roman Empire and the ChurchCatholic, as a sign of disintegration. It is an ideology, which arose in contemporary age. This proposes that "man has a freedom that allows himSingularizes, its culture and its position in the world ".
Thus, among other ideologies, positivism, the founder of positivism, Auguste Comte (1798-1857) appeared, had as a reminder, the restless French post-revolutionary period in the mid-nineteenth century, in which Europe was arduous in the search forA stable political regime. That is why I expected that, with the dissemination of scientific knowledge, a peaceful society would be achieved, defending that "social evolution occurs by an individual process, that is, by the differentiation and development of human beings as individuals" .
Finally, one of the main characteristics is noticed, which all ideologies have in common, which is the one that they always arise within a stage of struggle, and perhaps crisis, which is considered as a stage of change andTransformation, giving the concept to the creation of an ideology, such as the need for a part of the population, to solve the problem that is affecting them, always based on their own benefit, development and clearing of unknowns, being the nineteenth century, being the nineteenth century,A century full of transformations throughout the world, and therefore several ideologies arise, which expand throughout the planet, acquiring new knowledge, as well as more support from society.
