Taylor and Henry Ford and their revolution in the world of business
Taylor looked at the scientific organization of work. He appeared eeuu, but following this it emerged in many more places. It is the maximum splendor stage in industrialism. I try to provide engineering -based methods, since what he intended is to be a work engineer and increase productivity. He conducted interviews to hire the person indicated for his company and, in addition, gave incentives to his workers, to try to achieve more productivity. He began to worry about dead times at work and replaced the function of the foreman in general, to have foremen specialized by sections. He developed a little humanized way of working and understood the organization as a machine and employees part of it. This is called Taylorismo.
Later he appeared with Henry Ford, Fordism. Henry Ford was an entrepreneur who created his company with a single task, earn money. He worried him, rather than the work, the rhythm of production. He began to think more about employees as a fundamental part of production, introduced a higher salary, since he paid for the dedication of time, in this way, he solved the “problem” of choosing employees daily and assigned a task to each worker and were formed to do it, until they almost became "machines" for the times they repeated the same operation. Standardized machinery and tools were introduced. The success of the Fordist company becomes the appearance of the way of producing, market-consumer, which lowers costs and obtains great benefits. In the 70s there was the crisis of Fordism, which plunged great Fordist industries in a crisis, which leads to a redefinition of the characteristics and the company model.
Postfordism arose after Fordism and was a flexible production model of production, based on a high product differentiation, a qualified and versatile workforce, in plants with productive series. It was a new way of consuming, generating new markets and a great moment for advertising. It went from the useful to the functional and aesthetics when consuming. The industrial districts appeared. Little capital was needed to set up these types of companies and began to outsource services, that is, to subcontract.
Later neofordism arose, in which great corporations concentrate again. A type of company is launched in a mixed form, in which they outsternized the work, since they motivated other companies to carry out the activities, and the companies were, rather, small or medium, they kept the control logistic. This movement collects the virtues, both of Fordism, and postfordism. It was used to return to the previous precedents and all this was motivated by flexible automation and information technology.
