Adolescence, being an age full of questions and curiosity, arises the desire to prove new sensations and experiences regardless of whether these are risky situations. Therefore, the implementation of prevention programs in educational centers is necessary. The next step is to evaluate the effectiveness of these programs. But a question arises: how prevention programs influence the decision of consumption of psychotropic substances in adolescents in Latin America. For this, 3 sources have been taken as a base that reveal very interesting data: the first, keys of efficacy of substance consumption prevention programs in the school context: a meta-recession, by Jiménez et al., (2014), which tries to discover the variables that influence the effectiveness of drug use prevention programs in addition to their importance; The second, open your eyes! An educational improvement project for the prevention of drugs in adolescent, of Azorín, (2016), which is a study that has as its main objective the investigation of several programs already applied to create an efficient one in the prevention of drug addictions in adolescents;and the third, family protective factors for the prevention of the use of psychoactive substances (SPA) in fifth grade students of the San Luis Gonzaga Educational Institution of the Chicoral district, of Acevedo, (2013), which seeks to define which factors aremain ones that influence the prevention of the use of spa in their student field directly related to family protective factors.

The first study, which was carried out with a qualitative approach aims to find the variables that determine the effective.3). In this text, 1622 articles related to the subject were analyzed and 29 important factors that lead to prevention programs with positive results, useful for their replication in educational institutions were identified. It is an article of great help, since it provides real -importance guidelines to achieve prevention programs that truly attract the attention of the subjects in question, who fulfill their mission, and also that it is possible to apply in more educational institutions. In addition, the sample size is significant, therefore your information is reliable.

The second article, of qualitative approach is mainly based on research to create an efficient plan in the prevention of adolescents, where a reflection-action plan is carried out with a descriptive design so that students are in the ability to create acritical opinion based on the information provided about the health risks that start from drug use (Azorín, 2016, p.141). As part of the main results, one of the most important factors is reflected that influence an effective prevention program, which is to create a close relationship between teacher-student in order to create didactic experiences that attract student care and thatAt the same time they provide pedagogical intervention resources. This text was very helpful since it reflects satisfactory results, but the most important thing is that this research was carried out directly with high school students and reveals that there are certainly programs that positively influence the decision of drug use by adolescent students especially inHigh risk areas such as Latin America.

The third investigation, which was developed with a quantitative, descriptive and transverse approach; Its purpose is to find the way the family intervenes in situations of drug use through the teaching of the first values focused on the socialization processes that influence the decision of consumption of psychoactive substances (Acevedo, 2013, p.17). Its results are of great value to the research question since they denote the importance of family role in the protection and prevention of adolescents who decide to consume drugs, and these data serve as the basis for the development of prevention programs that are reallyeffective but also relate to family protective factors.

In conclusion, drug use in adolescents is a public health problem in Latin America. In addition, the tireless search for prevention methods that really work has been a question that arouses the interest of looking for solutions to this problem. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the risk factors that influence a teenager to decide to consume such substances; But above all, determine the degree of domain that the social environment has in which they develop, knowing that the school environment plays a very important role in the critical and adolescent development of a teenager.
