Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Short Circuit Dogmatism In the realistic and idealist world, the short circuit dogmatism presents a rather challenging and problematic scenario that seemingly discredits truth and facts based on strong beliefs that perceives any argument against a true proposition is misleading evidence and cannot be relied upon at all. In this case, individuals in this specific category (short circuit dogmatism), tend to forfeit any claim of knowledge against a particular belief as invulnerable and disregards any information suggesting a different opinion as false and unreliable (Sharon, Assaf and Levi Spectre, 308). Though in most cases, the short circuit dogmatism is exemplified as a profound positivity in issues of beliefs and opinions, its dangers surpass its benefits due to the arrogance associated with its affirmation of truths and opinions. In a broader perspective, the superciliousness in the dogmatic nature of individuals has had a profound negative effect on the society, the government, religion and human relationships. Short circuit dogmatism closes people's minds from considering other reasonable alternatives and significant opinions. This hinders individuals, the society, and other institutions from achieving their objectives and goals in life. When people disregard evidence that opposes their beliefs or is unable to tolerate differing perspectives, it brings a high-level of danger and inconveniences to such individuals in the society (Kuusela, 58-59). On a personal perspective; at some point, I interacted with some members of an atheists group known as Atheists plus, a social movement comprised of non-believers.
