Robert Allen Zimmerman or better known as Bob Dylan

Introduction

Robert Allen Zimmerman or better known as Bob Dylan, was born on May 24, 1941. When he was just six years old he moved to his family to a small town called Hibbing, near the Canadian border, there he spent most of his childhood. His, Abram Zimmerman, worked as a co -owner of an electrical material warehouse. Bob Dylan, describes in some of his songs to Hibbing as a desolate, dead, old and decayed people.

Developing

Since childhood, Bob Dylan began to show interest in music and poetry, he knew for himself the traditional American music of European origin. He learned to play guitar and piano. He formed several bands. And since then, Bob Dylan, has been highlighted by the lyrics of his songs and for his unique gender music, blues and gospel.

However, since 2016 there has been Bob Dylan’s controversy deserved or not the Nobel Prize for Literature, when poetry and music are two different categories. It should be noted that poetry is one of the oldest literary genres and needed a complement that made it more expressive, and this was music. Works such as those of the mythical Homer, the Iliad and the Odyssey, currently his texts are read and have been sung and even accompanied by an instrument. For this reason, Ureña states that:

First was the song. The song was music and poetry; A whole connected to the unspeakable. The first human beings combined in their rites the word, song, dance and music. Poetry and music formed a single concept in classical antiquity, in the pre -Hispanic civilizations of America and during much of the Middle Ages. In this way to talk about the poetic language of the song, it must be remembered that reference is made to the natural confluence of two concepts poetry and music, which were born together.

On the other hand, poetry and music have been united in the works of great poets and experts of musical instruments such as Pink Floyd, The Beatles and The Velvet. What is in common among them is that they express their emotions and thoughts through poetry that in turn is composed of metrics, sound words, that combined with music, the rhythm is so much from the regular repetition of accents, and of the regular articulation of a number of syllables; that is, the recurrence of the syllabic measure frames the recurrence of the accentuation.

When talking about the music of Bob Dylan and music with a general lyrics, it is being treated with two types of rhythm and metric, which are the result of music and those that are the result of the lyrics. The rhythm and metric of music have to be complemented harmoniously with their counterparts produced by the word.

However, with the situation we are living, the lyrics of Bob Dylan cover up today.
