Research, structure and different approaches

This essay will address research based on the same that is defined as that study base that is aimed at looking for answers and giving resolution to problems, which is based on three types of approaches: the qualitative, quantum and mixedsame that are built in relation to an objective or subjective phenomenon depending on the way in which the facts occur which must be directed to a specific situation to be able to apply the types of documentary source.

On the other hand, it is important to highlight the different research models because thanks to them you can carry out a very detailed information exploration, therefore within the research structure we find the analysis instruments which are important, sinceThanks to them, problem problems can be solved and at the same time to the verification of research hypotheses.

According to Roberto Hernández-Sampieri “quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches constitute possible elections to face research problems and are equally valuable. They are, so far, the best forms designed by humanity to investigate and generate knowledge ”(Hernández Sampieri, 2010, p. two).

Limiting what the author mentions these approaches have the main objective.

On the other hand, we find the different sources of research that are at the same time called documentary sources these are classified into two types: primary sources that are mainly based on the investigation of information based on different data obtaining techniques while secondary sourcesThey are those that help the investigation be done through documents, reports, magazines, writings and bibliographies which helps the researcher have true information, however these sources have several disadvantages because all the information is not permanent and toover the years changes.

In research models according to Víctor Miguel Niño Rojas, he states that the following occurs:

There is little conceptual clarity among the authors on this subject, since it is not easy to find types of research without mixing, that is, they do not see sharp limits between each other. This difficulty increases with the use of terminology, where there is diversity of interpretations, since some call types what for others are approaches, methods or strategies. The typology that is adopted here refers to certain ways of practicing research, with characteristics alluding to aspects such as the object, purpose, procedures or techniques, limitations, contexts, and so on. They can be framed within the lines of quantitative research well of the qualitative one, although they often combine the two approaches. (CEA D’Ancona, 1996, p. 220)

As the author places it within the research models there is a lotWhat is being investigated, experimental that aims to establish the cause – effect of information to be able to verify or deny theories, descriptive that as its name indicates it describes the facts and characteristics of the topic that is being analyzed, historical based on theCollection of historical aspects related to reliable documentation, correlational is aimed at establishing concordance between variables and factors that allow us to understand and analyze the different events or eventualities that occur within a group or population.

On the other hand, the qualitative approach has research models such as: the ethnographic that is mainly based on obtaining information clearly and precisely through mechanisms that leads to the social structure, documentary which is carried out through different records, documents, writings, transcripts, etc. With the purpose of clearly and specificly informing of a topic and the case study allows more than one investigation to be proposed by the situation studied and at the same time the subject in question in question

As Sabino mentions “a data collection instrument is, in principle, any resource that the researcher can use to approach phenomena and extract information from them” (Sabino, 1998).

Looking to what the author says, it can be said that these instruments help the development of research approaches to obtain results based on the objectives set by the researcher.

The instruments that are produced in the investigation are the following: Survey of questions of questions that are asked to people to obtain information in a broad way, interview bases on making contact with the person in person or non -face -to -face where subjective information is obtained isSay opinions, observation that technique in which data is collected through non -verbal behavior, that is, using the audiovisual medium which allows the systematic study in the research and discussion group that instrument that is mainly based on the conversation to investigate in thestudy objects.

In conclusion we can say that the investigation is mainly based on obtaining responses on the different facts that are being investigated with the use of several documenant sources that allow the information which is being analyzed to be inclined to the quantitative or qualitative approaches depending on subjectivityof the topic, on the other hand, research models allow us to have extensive knowledge of the development that will take our investigation.
