REALITY: Plato’s two worlds

The human being has evolved through time but how has the human being evolved? By what? In the world there are two perspectives that have emerged through the times mainly in ancient times .One of them is realism that is a doctrine of knowledge that affirms the priority of reality and the other that is the ideology that is the false consciousness of reality said: Marx Weber.

In Plato’s philosopher who is a Greek philosopher of antiquity he was a pioneer in the construction of the dissociated metaphysical discourse of empirical reality and contempt for the senses that is the first form of knowledge. Introduced the idea of two types of worlds, one sensitive, the one that takes place the change and the sensory experience;and another intelligible, where all entities lie purely.

Plato’s metaphysics: an example of this Plato’s metaphysics is the theory created by it. That is the myth of the cavern, this is an example, that we can observe the two worlds of Plato called the myth of ‘La Caverna de Plato’. That deals with the situation of some men who are chained from birth to a cave where all they observe are shadows reflected in the wall of the cave and some exterior noises that they created the reality from that situation, but in thisCavernas from the prisoners leaves the cave and goes out to the outside world and the first to learn to know reality. Then the man also frees himself from the shadows and will free his prison friends with the aim that they also see reality but nobody listens to it and condemn him to death. because they were with the idea that there was nothing in the outside world and they thought that their friend was a liar . But what can we see here?

In this Plato theory divides two worlds:

  1. The sensitive world: that it is of experiences what is lived through particular beings, through the senses that is called anism that is the first form of knowledge through the senses in a few words is realism.
  2. The intangible world: that is, the world of ideas, which is ideology and a few words a fantasy.

With this theory we can analyze that the world is created dare of ideas either for better or worse .An example that society has been created that man can only work and that woman could only be at home care for children as in the industrial revolution. That man worked 16 hours a day while women were educating but then two movements arose what are: the cartism where human rights were requested with the universal vote and we can also give another example of ideology is the topical socialism movement that I wanted to createAn ideal society an place that does not exist and these two movements were from the industrial revolution.

With these theories of the two worlds of Plato we can see that the world today is based more on an intangible world of (ideas) than on a sensitive world that is based on (experiences) the end of ideology is to make up reality throughEmotions and thoughts. Many people within society are uncomfortable because they think that he is lying to him while the world does not lie to them but are the people around them. Arrien said a sociologist that man varies in the course of history, and in this sense he is the product of history .The history of the self-realization of man through his work process. The total of what seal the history of the world is nothing more than the creation of man for human work and the emergence of nature for man, therefore, the evident and irrefutable proof of his self-creation, of his own origins isSaying over time man evolves therefore creates his story and if he wants he can see or not see reality. As well as the example of Plato’s cavern that only a man could see reality while the others was in shadows and so is the world in which we live cheating for oneself, let’s look for reality, let’s not get carried away by experiences but live it.

An idea that society has created and this is how people say you were born poor and poor you will afford this idea to emerge in society but it is possible that a poor person from birth die poor? Yes or no? That depends on the overcoming that the person has this person who was born with few resource can seek opportunities to overcome but everything depends on oneself. William Speark said: We know what we are, but we still don’t know what we can become, that is, we are owners of our destiny, let’s not get carried away by the ideas that society creates.

To conclude in the world, these two perspectives are seen the world of realism and the world of media ideologies, the human being is a particular beings that is to say a practical being and a social being that seeks a freedom . Let’s not be prisoners as well as the prisoners who were in the cave that they were in shadows and did not see the outside world that is the reality as people really look what it is not to get carried away by what people say or do but to experience our ownreality. Plato said: ’Freedom means being owners of our own life’.
