This can be a problem in electric vehicles if you make long trips frequently. The availability of load stations can cause electric vehicles to be less suitable for road trips. Feeding an electric car can also be a problem. In comparison with the few minutes to fill the tank of a conventional car in the gas station, recharging your electric vehicle is a much more significant time investment. The full battery charge can take up to 8 hours, and even fast charging stations take 30 minutes, but some take 15 to 20 hours. 

However, there are available kits that, as reported, reduce the load time by half. Electric automobile drivers have to plan more carefully, since running without energy cannot be resolved by stopping at the service station. They are more expensive and you must replace the batteries: the batteries of an electric car are expensive and they may be replaced more than once during the useful life of the car. Electric vehicles are also more expensive than gasoline. The availability of the cargo station is inconsistent.

Even the most economical electric car models begin in a high range, while luxury models increase much more. Until technology advances and it is less expensive to produce each electric car, consumers can expect to pay more than a conventional model. There are fewer options: it cannot be denied that there are a greater variety of electric cars than ever, and there is also no sign that stop growing. 

But the fact is that there is not much to choose from in regards to aesthetics, especially if compared to the amount of conventional vehicles. Electric cars are not the response to pollution: cars must be expelled from cities to face the pollution crisis, not only be replaced by electric vehicles, although electric vehicles do not emit exhaust gases, they still produce large amounts of Small particles of pollution by brake dust and tires.

The research shows that the fastest and most profitable measure to reduce nitrogen dioxide contamination caused largely by diesel engines is to prevent gasoline cars from entering urban areas. Electric vehicles do not emit nitrogen dioxide, but produce a small particle pollution due to the wear of brake discs and tires and raising the dust from roads. Although governments currently do not pay much attention to particulate material, in fact it is highly polluting, with strong links with pulmonary cardio toxicity.

It is estimated that 29,000 people die every year due to particle pollution, more than 23,500 premature deaths attributed to nitrogen dioxide. The combined total is 40,000 because some people are damaged by both pollutants. Nitrogen dioxide levels are illegally high in most urban areas, which allows legal measures, but small particles levels are not. Electric cars are critical in the fight against climate change and air pollution, but they are not a panacea.

The safe and efficient movement of people can only be achieved through a clean and expanded mass transport system, served by buses, trains and the underground system, also by means of active transport such as walking and riding. Electric cars are not as green as you think: electric cars are more ecological than gasoline and diesel of the same size. However, that is not a reason for drivers to change their perfectly functional gasoline vehicles for new electric cars.

The load energy is not renewable: first, there is the obvious point that the energy that carries the batteries of an electric car has to come from somewhere. Unless you have your own private power plant that works with renewable energy, it is most likely that you are using an electricity company to load your car. And where does the electricity of energy plants come from? 51% come from power plants that burn fossil fuels, such as gas and coal. Nuclear energy, highly detected by many environmentalists, is responsible for 21% of your car’s power, while only a quarter of energy comes from renewable sources.

So, while having an electric car certainly reduces emissions on the road, the largest demand required to load the vehicle means that more fossil fuels are burned in electric plants, which of course pump millions of tons of pollutants to the atmosphere all over the world. Large cars with long ranges need batteries with great power, and the more power they use, the more pollution causes. In this way large electric cars can be more pollutants than small gasoline cars.

The battery is a pollutant: another part of the problem lies in batteries. The mining of the huge amounts of nickel, cobalt and lithium used in your manufacturing has an environmental cost. If you change from gasoline to cobalt and lithium, you have not addressed any problem. You just changed your problem. The nickel: it is the eighth worst metal that is extracted and processes in terms of global warming and pollution. Villagers living near nickel mines have reported higher rates of respiratory diseases and birth defects.

Lithium: its production also has an environmental cost, since the rocks must crush, producing a ton of carbon dioxide for each ton of lithium carbonate produced. And then, of course, there is the problem of what happens with batteries when they reach the end of your lives. It is thought that in the next 12 years, 11 million tons of old lithium -ion batteries will be thrown away, of which only 5% will be recycled.

It can often be so harmful to the environment as well as the production of cars to gasoline or diesel. After all, steel, glass, plastics and fabrics that are used are a lot of a lot. Very few electric cars are built with adequate sensitivity to the environment. Our cities need less cars, not just cleaner cars. The answer, then, seems to be obvious. If we really want that utopia, then we should get rid of cars, electric or not, and get on our bicycles.
