ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENDS

A topic of great importance within the business world is to know organizational behavior. This can be defined as the study of individual behavior and group dynamics in organizations (Nelson, DL & Quick, JC (2013). When we refer to individual behavior we mean that industries must have the main value to their employees, since they are the ones who compose them and are the ones that will influence the achievement of the goals or their development (Nelson, DL & Quick, JC (2013) (Forum). The positions, work design, communication and performance evaluation are some of the factors of organizational behavior that affect human behavior (Nelson, DL & Quick, JC (2013) There are two basic categories to understand human behavior which are perspectiveinternal that is which analyzes the minds of employees and was based on their feelings and why that person is so or better known as their history. Then we have the external perspective that has to do with the external factors that are foreign to the person as the economy or federal laws (Nelson, DL & Quick, JC (2013) (Forum). To know what external factors are that affect the strategies in organizations we first have to know what the strategies are. Strategies can be defined as those actions that lead us to achieve a specific purpose. Within the business world, organizational strategies lead us to take an action course that is determined to achieve the company’s long -term objectives. These actions can be affected positively or negatively by external factors of the company. The factors that affect a company are those that cannot be controlled and that influence decision -making and work environment. As the authors of the book points to some examples external factors that can affect a company are: federal customers, suppliers and regulations (Nelson, DL & Quick, JC (2013) today companies constantly face great changes that can make it possible to makegenerate opportunities for the entire company. One of the changes that can be generated in an organization is the globalization of the market and the changes that it generates because it is of many challenges for companies. One of them is the growing presence of foreign companies in local markets through export, or direct investment (Canals, 1994). This phenomenon represents for local companies new conditions that have to absorb, balance and compensate through effective strategies that prevent loss of competitiveness;Another challenge is the growing competition in prices required to companies higher levels of productivity and efficiency;The additional pressure to improve the quality of the products is another challenge that implies greater investments for the company. Another important change is the diversity of the workforce, we not only limit ourselves to men and women, but to sexual, religious, policies and generations preferences. The workforce is a diverse, of constant changes as the years go by. Entrepreneurs must be trained in the way in which a young man and a third generation can live together to have the best results in benefits of the entire corporation.

Finally, an aspect of change that is constant in a company are technological changes and innovations. It has minimized the barriers to be able to carry out businesses, having in most cases an increase in their income. If the existing technology is used correctly, it can serve as one of the tools of greatest effectiveness within the company. We live in an era where there are constantly technological advances, this makes companies have to host them so that they can survive in the business world and can reach their existing clients and potential customers more efficiently. A company that is not arranged technologically, is intended to fail.

As mentioned above work diversity in these times is well marked, since we can have different generations in the same company. There are two dimensions of diversity first is the one that has to do with the ages, race, sexual orientation and etc. Then in the second is education, religious beliefs, communication style and etc. (Robbins, S.P. & Judge, T.A. (2013).) In the same department we can have people of different ages and this is thanks to generations such as Baby Boomers, X, among others. We see elderly people working, since they belong to a generation that lives only to work. When we talk about race, we refer to the different cultures that a person can have this is due to the immigration of all parts of the world. An example of this can be seen in the United States when we see couples where one is oriental and the other is from America and when they have children it has the two cultures reflected in a single person.

Today sexual orientation is very marked, we see LGBT people working and this because this latest generation gave it the opportunity to be accepted. Today the communities are more diverse and are "Open Mind";very different from the other generations, since those who were homosexual or lesbians were discriminated and could not work. When we talk about religious beliefs we must be careful not to discriminate against an employee for a comment or gesture that we make. We must be flexible because some religions do not allow you to work Saturday or Sunday and you as a manager you must take it into consideration. If we are going to talk to employees or write to call them to a meeting, we must speak well but not with sophisticated words, since there will be no people in the company, they could not have the educational level or knowledge necessary to understand the vocabulary employed. What you write or the way that vocabulary is used can make some excluded staff feel.

The diversity of the workforce can be affected in organizations when we see women occupying jobs who were previousThey send and the woman is for home work. They prefer to follow orders from a man, since they believe they follow the guidelines of a woman because they think it is the weak sex and will be carried away by their feelings and can make a company stagnate or break. This has changed because different generations are more liberal and have accepted women to occupy the same place as men in jobs. When we talk about disability capacity we have to be careful not to discriminate against these people and we must give them the same job opportunity. If that person can do the functions and he is the ideal person we must choose it because if he does not provide an interview in equal conditions we can face demands because there are laws that protect them as the law. This impacts that customers see that we hire without discriminating or offending will say that it is a company where they treat everyone equally and with respect that makes them talk with more people to invest with us.

Finally we can see that a company works if there is communication between managers and employees. The most important thing is that human behavior is valued, since the employee is the face for your company. In addition you as a manager have to be up to date in everything technological in addition to knowing the feeling and the needs of every employee regardless of their generation in order to provide them with the necessary tools that contribute to business benefit. Globalization is important for local and international business development;Success and growth will depend largely on the way the company develops within the great global market.
