Introduction

The work metamorphosis was written by the writer born in the Czech Republic Franz Kafka on July 3, 1883. The novel was published in the year of 1915, thus framed in the period of World War I. This work belongs to the narrative literary genre and is part of the literary current of avant -garde or also called expressionism, since there is intensified and interpreted human reality, as Franz Kafka shows us in the work in the work. Kafka, also makes us known the truth about the economic situation suffered by the population of that time. The work of metamorphosis, mainly, is divided into three chapters: the first, which refers to the approach. The second refers to the knot and finally, the outcome;thus characterizing the structure of the narrative genre.

Developing

The novel, represents the monotonous life of a merchant named Gregorio Samsa who, due to a series of problems he was going through, a day dawns turned into a huge insect. After his transformation, he does not find acceptance by his family and society at that time, which causes the protagonist’s decay and subsequently leads him to death. In this way, author Franz Kafka tries to reflect the antivalores present in the work. For this reason, through this essay, the following question will be answered to what measure the metamorphosis suffered by Gregorio Samsa gave way to the development of the antivalores?

To begin with, the main antivalores that occur during the novel, such as: indifference, disinterest, resignation, threat and austerity, having as the main space of the development of the novel Gregorio’s novelSamsa, considered the main character of the work. As the first antivalor to analyze we have the indifference that Gregorio Samsa’s family showed. The family, noticing Samsa’s metamorphosis, shows their indifference, that is, they do nothing to help and rescue him from the transformation. Indifference is an ethical antivalor within the work because to some extent, Samsa’s family also discriminated and separated him from society because Samsa created fear in the people who saw him, thus expressing one of Kafka’s styles thatIt is dark and deep peculiarity when writing.

Another ethical antivalor present in the work is disinterest, which is related to indifference, both antivalores are put into practice by the mother, Samsa’s father and at the end of the work by her sister Gretel because she was the only onewho attended his needs due to the great love he felt towards his brother, after that he is influenced by the family and leaves the central figure abandoned.

Resignation is considered as an economic antivalor, since Gregorio, being the only livelihood of his home who worked and contributed economically and suffering a metamorphosis, the Samsa family is forced to take care of the expenses that it generated, having to workreplacing Gregorio’s function. The father is forced to be the main economic support of his family. Samsa, seeing all this adopts a state of resignation, since it assumes that under these transformation conditions it cannot continue to contribute financially to your home, he knew that his destiny was to stay as a huge insect mired in solitude until the day of hisDeath, as the work "his indifference was not too big …" (Kafka, S.f) Somehow, Samsa felt that it was a hindrance in his house, for this reason, he did not find meaning to his life and did nothing to get out of where he was.

Another antivalor that can be identified in the work of metamorphosis is the marginalization that Gregorio received from society, since after his transformation everyone, including his family marginalized him and ignored him. Through this, Franz represents reality since when someone is different from the members of a group or a society, they are marginalized by not having the same qualities or characteristics of others. As he tries to reflect the author within the novel, Kafka mentions "Like the guests sometimes took dinner in the dining room, the door remained some closed nights" (S.F).

Additionally, we have the antivalor of the threat, he is evidenceFranz inside the metamorphosis "… the father gave him back an energetic and savior blow, which precipitated him inside the room, bleeding in abundance" (Kafka, S.F). Which also affected the protagonist sentimentally, since in that way Mr. Samsa demonstrated hate and burning towards insect. This feature can also be related to the personal life of the writer Kafka, because he had a peculiar relationship with his parent.

Finally, we will analyze the economic antivalor of austerity present in metamorphosis. Due to all the problems that the Samsa were going through, as mentioned above, Gregorio, in these transformation conditions, had to stop working, which is why the economy was not the best and, therefore, all the entirefamily was forced to reduce its consumption and totally change their lifestyle. Gregorio supported the expenses and provided comforts and facilities to the family, characteristics of a middle social class family within the status of the time.

The antivalores that have been mentioned, have been generated in a chronological sense, giving way to having a better understanding of the facts thanks to the fact that the work is of a linear type. In addition, at the beginning, an omniscient type narrator was evidence. Use a colloquial language for a better understanding of the reader although in certain cases it tries to confuse it so that the plot of the novel is maintained.

conclusion

In conclusion, it is considered that the work metamorphosis, suffered by Gregorio Samsa, gave way to the development of indifference, disinterest, resignation, threat and austerity. Through the transformation of SAMSA, these values can be observed within the work and through them the writer Franz Kafka seeks to demonstrate the inhuman condition that the society of that time passes. Surrealism and the absurd and illogical things of life are present throughout the work. At the same time it can be identified that the societies of that time as today’s. We are observing how the day -to -day trajin makes us indifferent to the misfortune of others, we are immersed in a society that lives on appearances and that do not care about the beings with which we interact. It is considered that only when we are well or when we have goods we are valued, but when we fall out of favor, others ignore us, hide us, hide us and even deny existence. All this contributes to the fact that we fall into depression and, therefore, we want to cease to exist. We are social beings where relations with others matter, and when they have stopped importing, we have reached the top of tolerance and the desire to live in this world. This without a doubt happened to Samsa after his metamorphosis.
