The heart of man: Erich fromm
The heart of man is a book that analyzes the state of man through psychology: if it is a good or evil, his freedom, his determinism and the taking. Different types of violence

The love of death and decay syndrome

Individual and social narcissism

Incestuous links

The man is aware of himself: his past, present and future;Friends, enemies, alternatives, options, etc. Man is neither good nor bad, he can return to destructive and irrational orientations, or approach an illuminated and progressive leadership. Human Libertad is based on the ability to follow the voice of reason, health, well -being and consciousness in the face of the voices of irrational passions. When one is dominated by the passions, the individual is trapped;When the reason prevails, it is free.
Freedom is not the exercise of free will, but the knowledge of the best way to make the best decision according to knowledge: knowledge of good and evil. The right action for the desired objective. Knowledge of the forces that underlie desire – unconscious desires. Understand the real options you can choose. Knowledge of the consequences of the choice made. Know that, as such, it is only effective if there is the will to act. Man fails in the art of living because he does not know when to make decisions that allow him to be free, strengthen his heart, instead of hardening him every time he makes a bad decision. To make such decisions, there are real possibilities, or one or the other, which are determined by the reason or passion of the individual. The actions of man are always evoked by unconscious affections that act in his personality.
Man can choose between good and evil, between alternatives determined by the general situation in which he is.
