Learning Children’s Language

Introduction

Currently children have greater accessibility when learning a language, matters of foreign languages have increased in private and public schools. Nowadays, it is normal for a child. Recall that all facilities ranging from preschool to primary.

Developing

In 1977, Toukomaa and Skutnabb-Kangas presented The Thresholds Theory The theory of thresholds, this explained that the development of two or more languages in a person moves on three levels, crossing different thresholds between levels between levels. The theory explains that the child can achieve a successful result in language learning if he manages to successfully cross the first two thresholds. The child must achieve a first level or threshold of bilingualism in order to avoid its negative effects.

But, the second level is required to experience the possible positive effects of the same. Staying in half implies, not obtaining negative or positive effects. If the child fails to pass the first two thresholds or levels, he will not have the possibility of performing academically and functionally in the other language.

Remember that a child will not learn in the same way that an adult, all teachers and even parents play an important role in teaching. Let’s stop to think about how a child could start learning, the answer is quite simple, a child will pay more attention to a game than to sit 2 hours on a desk, a child prefers a story to an advanced grammar book in the language.

The development of a new language in children can be complicated if the necessary tools are not given, here the senses of the view and the ear can be involved;Phonological consciousness can be involved, it will help the child recognize and identify the sounds or phonemes that make up the words.
