The steps to follow are: First, you will have to select the branch or branches of the rose. These should be branches of about a year, preferably those that have flourished this year. The ideal length is 15 to 20 centimeters and the thickness of around 1 centimeter, similar to that of a pencil. It will be essential that they present several yolks, where new branches will later sprout.
After extracting the branches, the next step will be to eliminate all the leaves and thorns from its base, leaving a few leaves at the top. You will have to take special care not to damage the bud bucks.
Next, if you are going to perform the plantation on the ground, the most advisable thing will be that you are a ditch of about 15 centimeters deep, and you add sand mixed with peat at the bottom (about 5 centimeters). If you are going to plant the cuttings in pots, it will be enough to use universal substrate. In both cases it is advisable to apply a product to root yourself at the base of the cuttings, to increase the chances of success.
