INTRODUCTION

Agricultural activities are primary productive processes based on renewable natural resources: agriculture, livestock, forestry and aquaculture. Therefore, throughout history the agricultural sector has played an important role in national economies. This has brought with it that countries have among their priorities this sector, so they design policies to support their development.

Worldwide, Erden describes a monitoring of the growth of agriculture in Turkey through geographic information systems and remote sensors in order to cultivate in their habitats with maximum efficiency, to maintain the balance of supply and demand, andseek sustainable development. In Mexico, agricultural activity is classified within the rest of the activities, representing only 0.48% of the total existing companies in the country (National Institute of Statistics and Ultrasound .

Most agricultural companies in Mexico correspond to microentrepreneurs, this company size is the largest proportion in Mexico, of the total economic units in the country, 94.3% are microenterprises (it includes all sectors), being identified bythree main features that are the number of employees, income and assets.

The transformation of the agricultural actor in the learning process and in its modes of action within the productive context is mediated by training actions. These provide guidance available to effective performance and resources to innovate and solve productive problems. That leads to changes in the behavior of the producer from the meaning that learning and its application for practical improvement achieves.

In Colombia it is urgently required to increase sustainable agricultural production, due to the environmental impacts generated by traditional productive systems, which have not only significantly deteriorated the ecosystem basis, but have affected their associated services of the necessary provision and regulation for life.

In the environmental context of the agricultural sector in the department of Atlantic, two types of conditions are identified that configure insubstant scenarios of agricultural production: the first, is related to the ecological dynamics of the department, which are marked by climatic, geographical andWater resource that limit productivity in the sector and the second, in relation to rural institutional and socioeconomic conditions.

In Peru, which has passed the last 25 years through both processes (privatization and decentralization), it is an interesting reality to investigate its effects on the provision of extension services, mainly at the level of access and the typology of producers that reach such services. Based on this, it was found that 10.2% of the country’s agricultural producers access extension services and that the most important offering of such services is the private sector.

Based on what is mentioned, we ask ourselves the following question: What is the impact of process improvement on the supply chain in the agricultural industry? In order to answer the question, we establish the objective of determining the impact of process improvement on the supply chain in the agricultural industry.

Agrifood market markets have particular characteristics that concern both product and marketing. The different links of the supply chain cover from production to commercialization. To do this, it is based on the supply chain concept, who propose that it is a global network used to supply products and services from the raw material to the final customer, through a flow designed of information, physical and effective distribution. 

These chains should be organized efficiently to guarantee the competitiveness of companies or subsector. The logistics and distribution network is, for example, an increasingly relevant aspect for operators in agri -food markets. The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) defines logistics as the function that plans, implements and controls the efficiency and effectiveness of entry and exit movements, the storage of goods and services, and related information;This from the point of origin to the point of consumption, to meet customer requirements. Similarly, logistics provides a basis for designing systems that deliver value to customers in a cost-effective way.

Conclusions.

Supply chain management can be defined as the planning and flow of flow of materials, products and information that is carried out in activities within and between companies, from a source to users. Its goal is to unite supply activities, manufacturing processes, distribution and market networks between different organizations in such a way that customers receive high levels of service at a low cost. A successful supply chain management requires the integration of business processes with key members of the supply chain, and the reduction of response times in logistics processes is essential to improve the response capacity of this chain.

In addition to monitoring the product in the supply chain, it allows identifying the failures at each stage of the supply chain, allowing the continuous improvement of the processes. In the case of tracking and monitoring the merchandise, it is essential to monitor it in order to guarantee customer delivery. For which a traceability is sought, which is defined as those pre -established and self-sufficient procedures that allow to know the historical, the location and the trajectory of a product or batch of products along the supply chain at a given time,through certain tools.

The implementation of information and communication technologies play an important role in the sector, according to Gómez, et al., ICTs have changed the way of life of humans, in the agricultural sector the transformation of production and marketing is due to the incorporation of ICT into processes, to improve competitiveness and optimize production throughtimely access to information.

This work seeks to make a systematic review of scientific literature, in order to provide information on the problem of deficiencies in the agricultural sector supply chain. Therefore, through exhaustive research we will provide best practices for effective agricultural supply chain management.

The present research work is governed under the qualitative approach, it is of a descriptive type since the phenomena are observed and described as they are presented naturally, because the impact of the improvement of processes on the supply chain of supplies of supplies of supplies is investigatedThe agricultural industry. The design is of a correlational type, this is explained because two variables are presented, the process improvement and the impact on the supply chain, since as the process is improved, it will positively impact the supply chain. Regarding the technique, it is documentary review since it allows us to have the necessary information to confirm data for research
