IMPORTANCE OF READING AND READING UNDERSTANDING

The texts need a global understanding which is essential to have a general idea of the text or what you want to imply, although it is through a shallow and superficial reading a total formed by the differentnot so relevant ideas.

The language is essential because it allows communication between two or more people having different functions such as: persuasive or appellative, expressive and referential or informative. The persuasive or appellation function tries to convince the reader that their content is true or true, within this function there are different types of texts such as advertising or propagandas where they are going to convince their listeners that it is the product they were looking forFor so long, political speeches for example: a candidate who wants to be president will always try to convince citizens to give their vote through works or different proposals, opinion articles, among others, because through arguments he tries to convinceTo the reader to buy or do something.

The expressive function makes the receiver communicate its different moods, emotions, feelings etc., Many times this is easier to recognize in an oral discourse, since the tone changes the gestures or positions, but in the writing it can be identified by the use of different signs of exclamation or score and even words. The texts that tend more to this character are poetry, novel, story or theater because they are literary texts that try to reach the emotion of their readers using different literary resources such as metaphor, comparison, alliteration among others; This function is also found in non -literary texts such as letters where, like the other types of texts, something is tried to express, but at the same time they are also used to communicate, announce or request something. The referential or informative function communicates to readers about some type of event, fact or event based on reality without interfering the thoughts of the issuer, whether personal, political, religious or social points, for the reason that information may vary the information to the information to the information to theget to the receiver; It is found in texts such as news, informative articles, conferences, school texts among others, since most of those mentioned are scientifically based on laws or evidence.

We find several strategies among these the importance that the different types of texts and functions can be identified, therefore its structure can be observed and this will lead to see the communicative intent that it contains, that is, setting us in its structure we will know the type of text thatIt is and with this the purpose of the text. Another strategy is based on the importance of the reader having its search purpose defined as it helps a better global understanding;trying to meet their needs according to the subject or knowledge they want to acquire. It is always covered with a need, since many readers approach different works for delighting with different styles by different authors or to do different tasks that correspond to the academic issue as a duty, class issues and even by simple curiosity. At the moment in which the reason why information is sought, the text that must be reviewed can be reviewed;so that later it is examined if it fulfilled its objective and completing it with ideas by more authors if necessary.

Finally, it is important to relate the strategies to the functional skills of the reader, such as identifying and analyzing expressions that have a different meaning or expressions that are even used to not confront the contents, since they will be analyzed from central ideas and from secondary ideas where they can identifydifferent expressions that will introduce to the functionalities or types that it contains. The reader will be in charge of relating the message and context both implicit and explicit that the text contains considering it as pragmatic skills.
