IMPACT OF COMMUNITY Nursing on Population Health

Community nursing includes the theoretical knowledge and practical nursing skills, applying them as strategies to solve inconveniences of the community and provide an education that improves the health of the population, focusing with priority on families, groups and in the community thereby providing attentionHealth without distinctions. 

Therefore, we tend to describe opportunities offered by nurse care in the community and its participation in implementing health actions aimed at the population. This essay tends to focus on APS-R, which will go to the promotion of health, prevention and rehabilitation of diseases that harm community health, promoting participation in their self-care.

Developing

Community nursing is one that develops an integral vision of assistance, disease prevention, health promotion and rehabilitation, with the mission of extending the health system until the privacy of homes, allowing to know the social and health reality of thepopulation, improving communication between the individual and his family.

Based on the above, the population’s health develops in an integral way in the health system which encompasses the family and population by giving it empowerment to acquire habits and behaviors that favor their health and care at the community level and even their self-care self-care.

What characterizes APS is the community and participatory, which focuses on the care of health needs and problems from both a personal and collective or community perspective, and with the active and constant participation of the actors involved.

To provide nursing care in the community, the environment and its impact on the health of people must be known, however, without the active participation of the community in relation to the prioritization of health problems and decision -makingThey may properly exercise the pertinent care and actions that foster their health care. 

The community can be related to the home, workplaces, educational institutions and even the same community, which make nursing staff exercise their positions and in front of complex conditions, which require the staff to be trained, have ideal knowledge and provideThe appropriate orientation to its practice, where it involves the community in an active way, looking for solutions to the needs and problems that affect the population.

Therefore, the opportunities offered by nurse care in the community tends to focus on the APS-R, which, from a context of immediacy to the population, focuses its actions under personal, family and collective, with a correct orientationof health through the resolution of existing problems and needs. Therefore, the nursing staff in the community must integrate, provide and perform aspects that involve the promotion of health and prevention of people, family and community diseases.
