Firstly, the author Jonathan Lethem perceives culture as a free perceiving gift. In his book “The Ecstasy of Influence,” the author describes borrowing as a major determinant that enhances creativity. Jonathan Lethem cited many works of his predecessor artist work. His essay contained more than 50 paraphrased article from predecessor artist; Jonathan Lethem gives credit to the authors using footnotes. Besides, the author created an open source project so that film-makers can use his work to enhance their creativity.
