COVID-19, the health tragedy that humanity has had to live affecting millions of people and causing a notorious impact on the economy around the world. Absolutely no one or any company was prepared for the situation we are living, so many had to accelerate their digital transformation process and think about their long -term actions since we still do not know when this pandemic ends.
There are companies that could not be sustained one more day, this led to most businesses to bankruptcy and some companies to reduce the staff or have had to pay half of the salaries due to lack of income which makes the unemployment rate upload. On the other hand, there are companies that took this digital transformation as a strategy and did everything possible to continue generating their income.
There are also those who took advantage of this situation to undertake small sales of cleaning products or the sale of masks, eye protectors, gloves, etc. This in a way helped some people to be able to maintain an income to survive these months of pandemic. In some food businesses, shipping at home was added so that people consume their products without leaving their home.
According to Javier Zamora, an expert in digital transformation and professor of the IESE Business School (Spain), the first thing to do is have a common language of what this transformation means within the company.
The technology industry is very extensive and for many it is difficult to understand, but that did not mean anything for some companies that were determined to move forward with their business. There are examples of companies that have taken a notorious turn to enter this world of digital technology improving their way of working.

The path to digital transformation is not so easy, vision of leadership and perseverance is needed. With the appearance of COVID-19 the value of technology has reached large scales until it is a necessity for those who want their economy not to be affected by any imbalance. To comply with the social distancing and all the standards of biosafety that people must be accepted, companies have implemented teleworking, this would be the first step to reach this digital variation.
During the course of this pandemic, many companies have been in need of designing remote work models through digital platforms that have served as impulse to have a digital collaborative work mode, this has been achieved faster and further welcomed by thosecompanies integrating them into the digital world.
Twitter and other giant companies encouraged their employees to work from the comfort and safety of their homes and other companies such as Google and JPMorgan developed remote work policies to change their work home.
The function of working from home is a benefit that employees value, many organizations do not have a composition and technological support to give that capacity without certain sacrifices.
Remote work and learning are simpler when cloud tools and group participation are used. Wechat Work of Tencent or Ding Talk from Alibaba are examples of these tools.
Of course, these remote works have a high risk of having cybersecurity problems that is why some companies have placed a good security system to protect all their data.
Mark Shaw, head of the global initiative against transnational organized crime, tells us that "cybercriminals know that there are more people connected than ever and take advantage of their opportunity".
We do not know when this pandemic ends, but what we know is that most companies have been forced to accelerate their digital transformation which has given them noticeable successes in the economy. Many have learned to prioritize their fingering in this crisis.
