Analysis of the rebel colonies

Introduction

Great Britain had 13 colonies in eastern North America since the S. XVII. For the only thing that used these colonies was to exploit their resources. Flatly refusing to industrialize them and get them to develop and evolve. They also did not give them a voice in Parliament, they wanted to have the right to have representation in the British Parliament to discuss the issues of those who did not agree, such as that they had no economic freedom, they could not trade because of the monopoliesFrom great britain.

Developing

As a rebellion, the settlers stopped paying taxes waiting for their rights. British King Jorge III reacted. He added more taxes, and also did it on basic products, as basic as tea. Agreeing with Wikipedia, the Law of Tea or Tea Act was a law promulgated by the Parliament of the Kingdom of Great Britain in May 1773 that allowed the British company of the Eastern Indies to sell its tea in the thirteen colonies of North America without payingtaxes. In addition, giving them the monopoly, they benefited them because they were in an economic crisis. But American merchants harmed.

This did not seem well to the settlers and they revealed again, making a boycott that is recognized as tea mutiny. The ships of the Eastern Indies company were waiting to be landed in the port of Boston. A few Americans who are known as "the children of freedom" disguised themselves as Indians, docked the ships and threw all the tea through the board, pouring 45 tons of tea, valued at about £ 10,000.

With this rebellion the American revolution and the United States Independence War begins. The continental congress was formed that was an assembly of delegates of the thirteen English colonies of eastern North America. This congress had to gather three times. The first was to discuss something that the British government implemented: the blockade of passage to ships to the port of Massachusetts. There was also an argument regarding intolerable laws, which were helped Benjamin Franklin to convince the colonies to join.

The first great battle was that of Bunker Hill, which ended the Pyrrhic victory of the British, who lost more than 1000 men. After that, the British authorities considered extremely difficult to redirect the conflict and fix it with negotiations. The settlers announced a proclamation of rebellion, and were very proud to have finally done it, so the governor of the Virginia colony in addition to proclaiming the martial law, promised all that slave to join the King’s army, the freedomIn the Dúmore proclamation of November 7, 1775.

At first the representatives of each colony did not agree on breaking ties with the king. Here the continental congress intervened, being the second together taking place on July 2, 1776. The Assembly convinced these representatives causing everyone to agree on declaring an American independence and all unanimously voted for it.

The first colony to have a declaration of rights was Virginia, thanks to Thomas Jefferson. It is also considered the first modern human rights statement in history. Through this the other colonies were encouraged, and, days later, for all the reasons commented, with the twelve colonies signed the declaration of independence and established themselves as a new country by the name of the United States of America.

conclusion

In conclusion, the settlers had all their reasons to become independent from Great Britain, because they were using. They were not allowed to advance in any aspect or economically, or socially and did not even listen to their opinions. That is why, if I had been an American settler, I would also have rebelled and I would have fought for my rights, because what I was doing Britain was not right.

I also believe that Thomas Jefferson was very brave when taking the crucial step of declaring rights and independence, and also by accepting that everything had already become a rebellion and there was no turning back. Obviously you had to break ties with the king, how were they going to continue "serving" someone who wanted to rebel?
