Analysis of the personal and social impact of computers

Summary

Currently computers are indispensable tools for every sector (scientific, educational, health, etc.), since they allow you to perform tasks quickly and easily such as navigating the Internet, saving information, performing design tasks, communicating, among others.

This document is intended to show performance and how computers affect our daily lives, our health, in the new methodologies of study and teaching and how man is responding to these new changes that is gradually part of our culture and style of life.

INTRODUCTION

From its appearance to the end of the 1970s to the present, computers have gone through many changes. The speed of processing information and performing tasks is increasingly fast, since they have increasingly powerful microprocessors that facilitate a faster experience when using the computer. Computers facilitate the storage of large amounts of data, allow rapid processing of information and have incorporated intelligence. Due to these unique capabilities, computers work at levels close to those of a human brain. Therefore, computers can be used in a wide variety of fields such as engineering, processing and storage of data, planning and programming, networks, education, as well as health and medicine.

Previously a computer occupied complete rooms, now with a laptop we can go anywhere with it. Also, with the price of these that previously had a high cost being a privilege to have a computer, now the general public can get a computer according to their needs. All these changes have led our society to have good changes like bad.

DEVELOPING

When a computer can become more or equally effective in the face of a medium that solves problems or tasks, it becomes an ideal resource to complement or replace the comparative environment,

In the educational world computers are the most used means to search for research, books, literature, etc. Then the computer is an option to improve the quality and effectiveness of the education system. Changes in traditional teaching methods have changed since the appearance of the computer. In a world where there is high competition, it is important to know and learn faster. Computers currently facilitate access to information, through images, videos, audios, slides, etc. Just as we can obtain information, we can provide information which can be used for entertainment, academic, etc. For this reason both schools, institutes and universities choose to have a computer education because the information they will give can be modified, updated, easy to transport and distribute. In addition to the preparation of information, an important part are students. Who will respond in different ways, both in children that such information material must be more didactic than adults. Also, students must be aware of the new form of teaching, since it is part of their will to adapt to it. At the Catholic University of Santa María, the virtual classroom is used to share additional information from the given class, forums and also hang jobs. Then the computer provides the experience of sharing ideas, and getting them very quickly is because of it that in the vast majority of schools, institutes and universities they have computers.

Internet users throughout today

Computers allow efficient storage of large amounts of medical data. Medicine includes a vast knowledge base. Computer storage can serve as the best means to accommodate this information. Medical magazines, research and diagnostic documents, important medical documents and reference books can be better stored in an electronic format. Many of the modern medical teams have small and scheduled computers. Many of today’s medical devices work with preprogrammed instructions. The circuit and logic in most medical team is basically a computer. Many of the modern scan and images methods are largely based on computer technology. Magnetic resonance uses computer software. Computed tomography uses digital geometry processing techniques to obtain three -dimensional images. To obtain high -resolution images sophisticated computers and infrared cameras are used. In the field of medicine, computers allow faster communication between a patient and a doctor. In addition to benefiting patients living in rural areas with limited medical care options, Telemedicine has proven useful after natural disasters and war zones.

Computers have brought many useful software solutions in the medical field. Large public health organizations, such as the World Health Organization and Disease Control Centers, have accumulated huge information bases related to diseases and health statistics. There are also public databases available with information about toxic substances, clinical research results and medication coverage.

Much of the current research that is being done on incurable diseases such as AIDS and cancer implies the creation of complex computerized simulations. Supercomputers and distributed computer systems are able to handle large amounts of research data and analyze millions of possible results. The human genome mapping is an example of how computers are moving forward in medical research.

The use of computers has an impact on our health where their use long causes damage to our sight, part of the users who use computers have no knowledge about the damage they suffer from being for long periods of time at the head of the computer where 50% and 90% of users suffer blurred vision, also in the incorrect body postures where muscle tensions are generated. On the other hand, stress and dizziness from 5 hours of everyday computers increase and security of France.

Recommendations:

  • Use screen filters or protectors.
  • Work with Lyrics and Comfortable Colors in sight.
  • Take a short 10 -minute break for every hour at the head of the monitor.
  • Try to alternate work on your computer with another type of work.
  • Lick constantly helps decrease ocular dryness.
  • Do not smoke in the work area tobacco produces health damage.
  • Go to an ophthalmologist before any possible eye discomfort.

Computers process large amounts of information quickly and easily, where the use of computers are very recurring, they are in the field of economy, since it helps to predict and explain economic behaviors.

While having an effective product and with a low cost for its elaboration is what companies are looking for. Computers help greatly how to compare tables, know if my production is growing or decreasing, to communicate with other companies, suppliers and customers. Now the chatbot is the most recurring communication tool in companies since a person’s help is not needed to ask for any service, unless it is very important where the help of a professional advised to serve the client is really needed to serve the client. Just as a person can be replaced by reducing costs, it can complement it, at the time of managing information to make decisions in the company, where the computer with different softwares and economists can take an advance in the company, so as not to have problems there.

Navigation without internet problems, social exchange through social networks, unwanted mail and computer games become an obstructive, which reduce productivity instead of improving it, when measures for the use of Computers Two main advantages of modern computers are the incredibly high speed and great precision with which they can make calculations. The capital budgeting process covers a variety of planning activities of more than a year, being an increasingly difficult and critical exercise in the current environment. The change rates and extremely volatile coins, political repositions and the sudden imposition of exchange controls raise threats to what were previously safe investments abroad.

Therefore, any forecast method can be programmed to run on a equipment. In fact, a growing number of companies are instituting austerity programs to cut corporate management layers, especially on the international side and thus reduce unnecessary costs. Stock markets easily handle many more transactions than they did before. Researchers, lawyers, journalists and others can now look. In fact, the invention of computers and the Internet has become the most effective catalyst for competition to grow.

As competition is strengthened, manufacturing companies use various marketing strategies to increase sales, which ultimately end up benefiting consumers in general.

Conclusions

Computers such as the Internet play a very matter role in the education sector since they have information bases, which are a source to carry out the information material we want to share. Also, search engines that are very useful to find our goals. Another advantage of using computers is that you can replace the big textbooks. Today computers are part of the vast majority of large and small industries, because they provide access to information instantaneously.

Computers have the advantage of getting a better teaching, learning to be repeated and it doesn’t matter about the distance where we are.

While the computer helps to facilitate our tasks, but its use for long hours can harm our health by damaging our view as our position, where it is recommended to use the computer for a couple of hours maximum since they can cause tiredness, stress and mood.
